SLO/TACO speaks the truth. I’m currently exercising self restraint on having a mind haze. You just have to think to yourself “What’s more important to me?” and make a choice. Try it one day at a time. I’m wanting results yesterday too... just make it part of your daily routine, like brushing your teeth. If your form is right, you eat correctly? And you stay true to the program that works best for you, you will see results. We all use this thread for motivation

I took 2 months off last year. I don't think anyone is going to give you shit.

I do agree with staying the fuck off the scale every day. Unless you are a competitive powerlifter, bodybuilder, or endurance athlete there is no useful information in weighing yourself daily. It's only psychologically unhealthy.
Weigh yourself no more than once per week. Pick a day and time each week and track that.
If I go on vacation or have a little bit of a fun carefree weekend on the eating, I will not weigh myself for a week following that. I want to give myself about 5-7 days back on track before I look at a scale.
Unless you are 3% body fat post bodybuilding show your body will not pack on body fat quickly like that. Gaining 5lbs of body fat means a 17,500 caloric surplus in a week.
If you normally diet lower in carbs and then splurge on carbs for a meal or even a couple days. You will not only blow up in water weight (5lbs is easily gained in water weight) you will feel bloated and gross. Don't confuse that with gaining body fat.

Take some time off, get some sleep. Also stop all caffeine. Start over the weekend or some time off work so you don't feel you are suffering through work.
    Practice good sleep hygiene.
Get to the gym or go out for a bike or run when it works best for you. Exercise is necessary for a healthy lifestyle and metabolism. But make it only fun exercise for now, don't do anything that stresses you out. If you go out and ride your bike for 10 minutes, that's fine.

Everyone needs to hit the reset button at some point and re-evaluate what is important and how to balance. No one has that figured out 100% of the time.

You have a lot going on with trying to get a new job and move. That's a lot of stress. Two major life changes happening at once. Nothing wrong with saying life needs your attention right now, not the gym or the scale.

I'm jelly of your break. I have a 12 miler this morning LOL

Caffeine contributes to adrenal fatigue. I know when my thyroid is low I’m tired AF. So I drink coffee. Well fatigue brought on by hormonal imbalances or chronic sleep deprivation cannot be solved by caffeine. So your adrenals just spit out cortisol. Well eventually you end up secreting excessive cortisol due to stress and caffeine so your adrenals peter out. So now you are fucking tired and you have no cortisol so its like double fatigue.
If you consume one caffeinated beverage a day, may not be an issue. If its several then its probably contributing to your fatigue and impairing your ability to sleep.

I felt energized when I quit caffeine but I went from 12-16 cups a day to zero LOL. I was on the extreme abuse end.

Run went very well. My bartending shift here soon is what is not going to go well after 12 miles lol

I need to get me a quality running watch though. I do this decent loop of paths in my area. I do one loop phone says its 1.75 miles, do a second loop and its 2.55 miles. Ok. Lets pick a distance GPS.
Phone was also telling me my average pace was easily a minute per mile faster than I knew I was running.
I’ve lost all trust in its ability at this point.

I’m breaking the fast later with a 9 egg scramble with cheese. Steppin it up with two more eggs.

    Yep.

And a cup being 8oz. My mug is 16oz. So each fill up is 2 cups.

    I am down to a 16oz mug a day.

    Dude...

This is great News. Now we know the problem so we can fix it.

get off the caffeine. I’d limit it to about 300mg/day only in the am. You’ll sleep better. You’ll recover better. You’ll have MORE energy than before.

I recommend picking a weekend and going cold turkey.
The sooner you can start improving your sleep the sooner you stop feeling tired.
I think weaning off makes it feel worse.

Are you going to restart the IF?

You know what’s better for energy than caffeine? Getting enough sleep.

coming off the caffeine is going to suck, but you’ll be better off.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t drink any caffeine. Look up its half-life and use that to determine when you can have your last caffeine for the day and at what time without it being in your system at bedtime.
