I agree. I have noticed a huge difference between Spotify and Amazon Music. Amazon music sounds so distorted at the same volume as Spotify. I have played with the settings of audio from Spotify app, but that didn't appear to make a different to me. It's hard to tune the system when each one has such a difference because if I tune it to sound great on Spotify, then Amazon music is too distorted and loud, but if I tune it more for Amazon, then Spotify is too quite and requires more volume. Next week I plan to tune my system more and I'll try for a happy medium.

an EQ for every audio output would have been a good idea

I agree. I know you can adjust some volume with the Kenwood per source, but it considered Android Auto as one source and doesn't care what is playing on that source.

Has anyone with this head unit connected a front camera? I connected one on Friday and connecting it went easy, but what's strange is that randomly the front camera will appear on the head unit. I have turned front camera interruption off, but it still happens. It is slightly annoying, but not annoying enough to get rid of :)

Yes. It goes on automatically under like 3mph or some such nonsense. I just "X" it out.

on a side note, does this mean I have nerd cred?

Damn. I have S9+ and that doesn't work with my head unit, but looks like S10+ does. Guess it's time for me to upgrade :)

S9+ does, but not with the dmx905s. I just looked and I don't have the show wireless projection option in developer settings

Also, it's not head unit dependent whether or not it shows up in the AA settings on your phone.....

Did the above and still don't have it. Looks like I would need to be a part of Google Play Services beta to get it to work

Worth noting that i contacted kenwood and they confirmed the 905s does not have a scan function for the regular radio (it does for the sirus) That blows me away that a common feature on any radio was left out of one that has so many features.

Thanks for sharing. Didn’t think I’d need the speed and foot brake wires with a bypass but wasn’t completely sure.

    No problemo!

Just to update my status on this:

The latest Oxygen OS update (10.0.1- Android 10 - OnePlus 7pro) has made the wireless AA much more stable. The hook up is extremely stable. However, after 10 minutes, it cuts out. I just press the AA button and it hooks right back up, and stays hooked up.

Installed my DMX906S and everything worked as it should. Super easy. Your wiring diagram was definitely a big help For the brake bypass! My factory mic is in the headliner but easily fit the Kenwood mic in the old spot in the overhead console so it’s hidden which is nice. Factory GPS, USB and Aux all work great.

Only real quirk is my home WIFI and Kenwood WIFI conflict a bit until I’m out of driveway and down the road.

I didn’t get the fuel gauge ( don’t really care) or transmission temp (do care) so not sure if Maestro needs a fix or if those simply aren’t available options.

Awesome! Be sure to check your firmware for updates periodically.

I didn't get the fuel temp stuff either, but I think theirs another plug in the box I skipped that plugs from maestro to the obd2 plug.

Also, you can I believe prioritize wifi hook up on your phone.....

How in the world did you fit the Kenwood mic in there? I tried but could not make it work at all...
