What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Car is in need of a wash badly. Just got the painted VHT Bezel back on. Huge diff IMO.

 

Did you just use black spray paint? Was that center console cup holder "thingy" difficult to remove? How did you do it?

 

Are there people that like chrome? maybe only the people that hate it chime in and there are actually a lot of people that like it. I mean, both of my cars have a plethora (Toyota and BMW) of it.

 

I used plastic dip, and center console is vinyl wrap... couldn’t get it removed.

Some chrome is ok. All black is ugly. But the Toyota cheese wire grill, that is a dumpster fire

 

When I was a kid there was no such thing as too much chrome. Chromed pot metal made up half the weight of the car.

I like a little chrome here and there as long as it's balanced and not overpowering. The chrome on my rear bumper looked out of place to me. I didn't have a problem with the cheese grater but liked the look of the (faux) Pro grille better. Those were the only two places where I had plans to get rid of any chrome. The tailgate emblem all by itself looked a little odd so I added a DU logo on the opposite side to balance it out.
That said I also like the blacked out look and if I had a 2nd Tacoma it would be blacked out.
Too much, too little or none at all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I personally like the contrast between chrome and paint and about the only place I don't think you can have too much chrome is on a Harley!

Balance is the key to life... as they say. You are probably in the majority then since car designers usually try and cater to the majority. I guess that makes me a minority. Which, of course is all the rage these days!

 

Now if that was a big Gold ND...........

and as far as the Michigan game goes I think someone spiked the Gatorade with bovine Exlax. Worst BS performance ever!

 

I so like that color, I went black, and will never go back.....

Edit: lousy reviews, much better off going with vinyl from @CBoy808 and having him make me something that will last and that they won't steal.
Green outline, Gold letters........., that'll work.

 

Did some vinyl lettering really love how they turned out. I still have the door sill lettering to do.
