The throttle body? Seems like you’d want to keep that plugged in unless it’s some other butterfly valve?

    Bad idea + power loss.

That's the acis valve. Unplug it and say good bye torque on the bottom.

Now there are a few reports I've had from people (tuned or not) that get shutter from the butterfly doing weird stuff, and one person whose acis valve melted ( and no idea how on that).

But if you unplug it you will lose a lot of torque.

The engine is smooth with no ACIS. I tested with the Sienna manifold without ACIS. However it absolutely kills torque.

speaking of ACIS, how is tuning of the ACIS going? Is this something that is still in the works, and can we expect the abrupt transition to be smoothed out some, or is that just something we will have to deal with?

I received the instructions for the HH accessory and I was wondering after I flash to stock and read with the handheld will I be able to flash back to a tune with P5F or will I only be able to use the handheld to flash from this point forward?

    Thanks.

    Edit:
I went ahead and tried to read my stock ECU after updating the accessory HH but it didn’t work. Got this message.

Not a big deal. I just wanted to get the HH registered ahead of 2.0 final but I’ll just wait it out.

If you were having issues, then yes. If you are just upgrading, no.
I have only reset mine once (when I bought the tune) never had a problem.

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
So i have noticed a few things- let me know if this is normal behavior.
    I am on 19800, 87 2.0.
5th and 6th hold gears well, almost alittle too well. When in 6th, going up a hill, rpms will really drop off before it decides to upshift to 5th. So i usually just have to gas it a bit, then it shifts and does its thing. It could be that im just used to this tranny being so erratic, i forgot what normal shifting behavior is like?

Also, when at a stop light, and I have to make a turn (like up a gradual hill) the truck shifts 1,2, 3, 2, 3...its like it cant figure out what the hell to do sometimes.

I still have a bit of that too; 19800 93 2.0. What I believe it is (because I've had it on most tunes to date), is how much I 'lead' the acceleration with the pedal. I'm not a guy to mash the pedal and then let the truck catch up. I tend to lead the acceleration by keeping the pedal just a bit ahead of where it'll start leveling off on speed. I do this until I reach speed. If I'm accelerating briskly, no issues. If I'm accelerating Sunday style, no issues. It's when I'm accelerating in between those two that I get what you're seeing. I can't confirm it isn't the TQ locking/unlocking (which it might be), but it feels like what you're describing. The OLE tune before 19800 was the best... I just struggled with the tip in. If Mat had toned down the tip in by half what he did for 19800, I'd be purring.

In the end, I'll pick a final tune and then teach my brain and foot how to drive it.

Ah, thats sort of how i drive aswell. When i get on it, the truck will get up and go. My driving style i usually am feathering the pedal enough to keep the speed limit, no more or less. Like your saying, it could be my driving style is inbetween, so maybe the truck sometimes doesnt exactly know what i want to do?

The stock one feels like a VTEC Honda to me, doesn't really start to go until 4000+. Does the ovtune keep it in gear longer vs stock? A little bit more horsepower with 91 octane would be nice too

I never got past the 2.0 OLE tune. Love having the on the fly flexibility.

ECT on with this tune is a dream, and if there isn't an update to the OLE tune so be it I'm satisfied.

Something like OBDFusion would be easiest... There’s a few similar options. If you don’t want to buy something, just take a mental note of your speed and RPM. Then, you can replicate it in S mode to figure out what gear you were in. If you’re not sure if your transmission doubled down, it probably didn’t as would would be pretty obvious.
