Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

So we got fires working in my area.glen cove is a fireball. Got a mandatory evacuation up the road from me in Crockett. Fires everywhere. all vehicles gased up. Livestock prepared to go. Dogs are ready. Thank god i cleared my hill of dry brush. But we still have power.

 

Calfires planes are so low theyre shaking my house..woot. damn good pilots...

 

Totally a bitch to fly in this wind and even get close to a drop zone. I've seen and listened to pilots during these winds and it's not pretty.

yeah no kidding, tried pulling up the map of areas impacted by power outages that the SF Chronicle keeps updated and it crashed my phone.

 

Wife is getting jumpy. Packing a go bag. And we’re in Oakland.

I’m at my house again in NW Santa Rosa. Thick smoke north of me to Windsor, which is maybe a 10 min drive from me on city streets.

All the local TWs are good here. Touch and go due to weather so we are ready to leave if we need to.

 

I live on the west side of town and ended up leaving late last night after our power turned off. Glad it’s not too bad right now. Depending on how this fire plays, may go back up to the crib tonight/tomorrow morning.
