Yes, I know the truck is filthy. It’s a work truck and gets used as such.

your summer tire size is an interesting choice. I’ve always wondered why more people don’t run that.

As someone who doesn't know much about tires (size, performance, ride, etc.) what makes you wonder about that selection? Do you think there is a benefit to that size that makes more sense than another?

It’s a tire size that is very popular with jeeps as it is the stock size on the Rubicons. It fits on a Taco, and there is an absolutely huge selection of tires and ratings in that size, being a Jeep thing. You hardly ever see fellas fitting them to Tacoma’s, though they are somewhat popular with the 4Runner crowd.

    I’ve considered the size myself.

So the 255 is the width of the tire - correct? What does that impact? Better fuel economy, ride, etc.? I want to get a beefier tire but keep stock suspension so trying to find a way to achieve that without significantly impacting the ride and stuff.

Have you used this already or is it your first year? I've been researching and see these and blizzaks come up a lot.

First season (with the truck, and therefore also the wheels/tires). I've only heard good things about both Blizzaks and Nokian in general.

No experience with the Blizzaks, but we run Nokians on 2 of our vehicles for a couple years now with great success.
