Exactly. I’ve got enough room for it on the side of the house. There isn’t a consumer grade generator that’s Diesel, three phase, and can do 7,000 watts for that cheap.

 

Those are stupidly loud though

 

i have heard from relatives this ordeal in CA is 'mother natures' way of sticking it to the environmentalists
she 'mother nature' shall clean her own forests with fire
they listen to a lot of Rush L. and the likes

You can add more muffling to it. But diesel is pretty loud yeah, high compression

I'd be tempted to pull an Onan/Cummins genset from an RV or a bucket truck or something. Cheap and good quality and usually pretty quiet

 

Yeah, Diesel is excessively loud. When I rented that Ingersoll-Rand construction compressor, I could hear it down the block. It had a Cummins 4BT if I recall correctly.

 

Isn’t it? I’d totally love to own one. But the noise thing is an issue, the place I would put it is right against the fence between my neighbor’s house.
