I’m always a bit nervous when an MT guy propositions me, but I could use some help aligning my tailgate.

My wife wanted me to get a manual. She knew that's all I've ever owned. Plus she knows how to drive a manual very well and enjoys doing so once in awhile.

Unfortunately, I bought my 2nd gen towards the end of the life cycle...just weeks before the 3rd gen popped. Inventory was low and there was no manual available in a 200 mile radius after doing a dealer search.

So I ended up with a PreRunner 4.0 which only came in an auto. I absolutely miss rowing my own gears...always will. However, I must say that the 5 speed auto and torquey 4.0 are a great combo. Shifts are always firm and smooth with zero gear hunting. And I never want for more power at any time

 

Taught my wife to drive stick and now s she's a fan-girl. The Tacoma is actually hers. I commute in my Focus ST.

Edit** it also NEVER gets soft!!! well the smooth faux boot has a soft leather feel....but I’m okay with that
