Today I wrapped the lower section of the tailgate on my SR and added Tacoma letters. Came out pretty nice I think for being one of my first times using vinyl wrap.

Check local junk yards. They wiper control is also used on Corollas. I got one from a 2017 Corolla from my local junk yard for $30.00

 

This is exactly what I did and the same junkyard had the same control but for Tacoma listed at $70 sold it for $30 because I asked for a Corolla one.

Any details on adding fogs to the SR? I’ve been looking at adding them but not trying to have something that is going to be a PIA

I didn’t follow this because I just wired them like you would a light bar. Use a relay — connect power terminal of relay to the battery. Ground relay to battery. Installed switch inside cab — tap power off of 7.5 A fuse (use dome light fuse). Tap illumination wires off the bed light plug that’s unused. Run small gauge wire from switch to the relay through the factory boot in your fire wall. For the lights themselves you’ll need an H11 plug and some 14 gauge wire. Solder your H11 plug to the 14 gauge, run the passenger wire to the driver wire and connect with a T-tap. Run the wire to the relay and you’re gold.

I got the non-smoked version. DRLs work great! There’s a $100 off coupon somewhere so it was $260. I guess you can get $200 if you sell your stock headlights (so I’ve seen). I replaced the stock bulbs in these headlights with LEDs. It’s hard to find LEDs that will fit these housings - I had to try 5 different ones but found ones that work great.

I love it! Wanted it before I even bought the truck. Only beef is that it isn’t waterproof. You have to plug the gap in the bed closest to the cab.
