Bilstein 6112 front suspension with SPC uppers, 1 inch differential drop down kit, 1/4” drivers side lean spacer, Moog lower control arms with greasable can/caster hardware, mavo-tech sway bar links/ bushings. 265/75 BF Goodrich All Terrain A/T tires.
I just installed the bilstein 6112 on the highest setting 2.46” of lift. I got it all back together and left the LCA cam bolts loose and it’s sitting at 25” from center hub to fender. Stock is around 20” from what I’ve been reading. I ended up with 5” of lift!!! Not cool! Anyone experience this or any info will be helpful. Thanks

dayuum boy. You might as well be riding without springs. How's the ride? Probably harsh as shit. Hopefully you have some UCAs.

Are you using the factory coils or an aftermarket coil?

Did you roll the truck forward and back before measuring? When you lower it on a jack it will sit high until it rolls around and the tires are able to spread back out to the normal position.

I have SPC upper control arms all installed with the 6112’s. Also have new LCA’s. The springs are the ones that came with the 6112 kit. I did NOT roll it forward and back or drive it. I will get it aligned then best I can and drive it. I will post what happens then. Thanks for the info!

Just a quick trip around the block. Best to set your height before alignment

did the shocks come assembled or did someone do it for you? If the coil is not the right way it can cause extra lift sometimes.

5" lift I'm amazed the shock bolted back into the control arm.

We've seen this before on here, it was install error.

The perch is right side up. The flat side. That was fine right. I had 4wheelparts assemble them. They did an ok job I guess. The top hats were slanted at the top and I’m assuming that’s because the top of the coil starts to turn down and it can only be that way.

I’m going to drive it and see if it settles. If I don’t like it I’ll have my friend that work at Toyota reassemble the shocks on the 4th or 3rd setting. He does shit right!

Hey Bishop84, by install error you mean the strut was installed wrong or assembled wrong?

    Usually it is assembled wrong.

Right on. Well the truck settled in real nice after I had aligned the wheels and took it for a spin over the railroad tracks a few times pretty hard. It settled in to 24” from center hub to fender. When they assembled the struts the top hat was slightly slanted and I get that because the coil starts to turn down.
