Assembling all of the wiring parts and components has been a circus. Even when you think you have everything you need you still find you're missing something. A few kick ass vendors if you ever find yourself needing electrical - https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/, https://www.acdcwireandsupply.com, https://www.ttiinc.com/content/ttiinc/en.html

Did you decide on the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, or the Dodge Caravan?

its easier than trying to run a new fuse box and tap into the proper circuits to get it all to work correctly.
its a sub bateery relay and trailer brake circuit. then 2 wires into the cab. rest of the truck is wired

I’ve got an OEM tow harness sitting in a box. I’ve got a Curt right now, but figured OEM is the way to go eventually.

considering I knew practically nothing about auto electrical (I ordered those cheap ass Amazon wiring harnesses for my LED pods hahaha), it definitely was a learning experience. Once I started actually cutting, crimping and soldering - it wasn't so bad. The tough part was figuring out the wiring and the relays. Once I had the basics down, made sense.

I do see quite a few posts where people are talking about fusing for the accessories. No. Fuse for the wiring (as in don't exceed what the wire can handle or car-B-Q).

For your project, go with that box you linked. Much easier I imagine.

There was a time where I would've offered you serious coin for that. Now, doesn't matter. No need for it. If I ever need to tow, I'll wire in an aftermarket. OEM though... NICE.

oh my add ins will be the ssvec box.
the factory trailer harness shit will be in the oem box.. im going to canablise a fuse box at the junkyard. its just a matter of pinning out the thing with 14 gauge wires then getting the 2 wires into the cab through the exisiting loom

Yeah my roommate is working 6 days a week now. It just sits there now waiting. His girlfriend has banned him from buying air compressors and I think he's sad.

I don't have enough of a background doing electrical work to feel comfortable running the lines across the attic.

The OEM harnesses on certain years were actually recalled, not sure if this one was affected.

Yeah, my truck can’t tow enough weight to necessitate trailer brakes.
