I just did my tranny fluid change which turned out it be pretty darn easy. I was a little apprehensive but, once I got all the material, went pretty straightforward. Tuned out I was about 1 1/2 - 2 quarts low. During this time it had weird shifts here and there, now with new fluid and the right amount, smooth.

Just curious, how many miles do you put on your tranny before you change the fluid? Also, MT or AT?

139,000. It’s want burnt or blackish in color, still had the dirty pink color to it.
I’m going to change it again on my next oil change.

That looks very nice. How many coats did you end up putting on?

Your BMX bikes make me :drool::drool:

Did you follow any sort of thread or a parts break down on the Drums? I plan to tear into mine when I replace my front pads. I haven't messed with drum brakes in ages!

It may be off on of the blend doors. They put thin foam on them to help insulate and quiet the selection.

Started with 80 grit I believe. Then thin coat of primer each coat laying down heavier to fill the scratches from the 80 grit.

Thought about wet sanding before the color. Just made sure I sanded good with a fine grit. I had some 2000 grit laying around. I did not sand between color or clear coats.

Disclaimer I am not a pro painter nor experienced. Took my time and read on line that PREP is KEY. Hope this helps the taping of took the longest.

TacoEspecial.... Just curious on your 17 rubber radio antenna. What prompted you to install? Smaller antenna desired, better reception expected?

    Thanks!

Most guys, myself included, replace just for asthetics or to have a shorter one so it doesn’t smack everything. Reception is almost always worse. I never use the radio so I don’t mind.

Looks great. You may have just given me the push I need to tackle my rear bumper that is in desperate need of repainting.

I took my dash apart awhile back and finally found the flapping noise that had been driving me crazy for years.

It’s the adhesive that the foam sticks to. I found it in the vent that bifurcates above the head unit.
