    I love my manual Tacoma. It is certainly my preference. Although I've driven the Auto and honestly I would be happy with either. I have owned autos and sticks, just didn't know how much longer I'd have the option for a modern manual so here we are. Only weak point is the tall reverse gear. Just my .02 cents.

    Also for the record...after picking up this truck, I taught my wife how to drive a manual. That kept her happy, and miraculously the lessons didn't end in divorce..

    Modern Toyota automatics are some of the most durable, longest lasting transmissions out there. 300k+ miles is easily doable.... Look at the 1 million mile Tundra.

    I had a 2018 and the gear hunting wasn’t my deal. It made everyone sick in The car. I had a 2015 auto. That was nice No issues. A re-geared 3rd gen would be awesome in Auto or manual. My buddy has a re-geared 2017 which is awesome. But out of the factory, no can do 3rd gen.

    More control and being able to dump the clutch, rock the truck, and downshifting.
    BUT it takes some practice first few times youll smoke that clutch
    ive had both an auto and manual taco.
