Yes, but enough to make the SR completely eclipse the other models with that same V6 and more standard options? Think about that.

I literally don't think you understand what either of these words mean. There is no such thing as a spartan truck anymore. All of them have 15 airbags. All of them have Safety Sense. All of them have the same stability control and all the electronics that are involved. All of them have 95% of the exact same equipment so why wouldn't you expect them to cost 95% of the same price?

Just because you think it costs $3k+ to install all the TRD equipment doesn't mean that's the actual cost. A new rear end means the old is removed. New booster and crawl means the old comes out and the latter is just code because the brakes are identical. New cloth seats means the old cloth comes out but the rest of the seats remain. The actual difference in manufacturing costs when parts are swapped at the time of install is nothing compared to adding things aftermarket.

They've got it, you want it. That's why they can charge so much.

See my last post. Explain how adding a V6 justifies the SR being more expensive than other trims that have the V6 as well and more standard options.

What other models, I can't recall that setup in anything else?

SR5s with a V6 are selling for less than you can order a SR with V6 for. lol

Where in the hell is it more expensive than other comparable trims? Keep in mind the advertised starting price include the ACLB config for the OR and the 6MT DCLB on the Sport which are both cheaper. When you actually build a base model at each trim there's a $4,500 difference between the SR and TRDOR/TRDS.

    SR V6 4x4 6AT DCSB: $32,315
    SR5 V6 4x4 6AT DCSB: $35,190
    TRDS V6 4x4 6AT DCSB: $36,965
    TRDOR V6 4x4 6AT DCSB: $36,965

Now find those prices at dealers. Also, they intentionally don't allow certain trim, cab, trans configurations which doesn't make it as logical when doing comparisons like this... because you have to swap some configs to open up options in the first place.

Like a fucking brick wall over here. Will you pick a goal post and stick with it? If anything I've seen way better deals on SR/SR5's because people would all rather have a TRD.

Agreed. I'd bet money @velogeek works in a field that requires problem solving and logical thinking.

LMAO! You have no clue. I do all my own work. You are just shilling for Toyota at this point. Anyone who thinks adding a V6 to a SR makes it worth 2k less than a TRD is smoking something illegal, or works for corporate.
