    Hi everyone-
I picked up my 2020 TRD Pro army green yesterday. Has anyone else noticed that the 2020's have remote start? Weird it's not mentioned. Press the lock button 3 times and hold and the car starts itself. A pleasant surprise!!

Welcome!!! But it didn't happen if you don't post pictures!!

Remote start is listed in the brochure for the Pro.

I know it has Entune 3.0 so it has the connected app where you can check locks and remote start, but hadn't heard anything about remote starting it with the key fob.

That is exactly my point. You can’t get them with the premium/adv tech package configured truck. You can without (as you mentioned), which is a bit silly. You’d think that getting the most expensive TRD Sport configuration would include the LED headlights, but nope. Even on Toyota’s online configurator it isn’t an option. Now, maybe you could special order a TRD Sport with premium/adv tech and the LED but they aren’t arriving to dealers configured that way for whatever reason. It’s not a big deal to add the lights later on, but I do find the way Toyota are packaging the new LED lights a bit odd. They should at least be included in any premium/adv tech configuration IMO. As it stands now, if you get the most expensive premium/adv tech package it does not include the LED headlights. Lol

My 2020 TRD Sport has remote start too even though it’s not listedn anywhere in the brochure, window sticker, etc. Works with the app and keyfob both. :)

That's odd...my order is 2020 OR Premium and I was able to get LED.

This is the same reason why it was silly for them not to have one with your specs in allocation. You either get the package already available on the lots or special build it with LED headlights. And of course, everyone wants the LED standalone package or as an option in other premium packages.

Exactly. It’s inconsistent in the way they are configurable between the various models. Maybe this will change as the 2020s continue to roll out.

I picked up a 2020 trd off-road. Remote start doesn’t work on mine? Must be included in premium package? When I enter vin in the remote access app says not available?

Man the midwest is getting screwed on available options compared to the southeast.
I'm visiting Huntsville Alabama and did a build with the zip here and dang....all terrain tire up grades, several wheels, etc..

It is definitely not limited to the TRD PRO, but it must be a premium or advance tech package thing. I have remote start on my 2020 TRD Sport via both the app and key-fob, but the truck does have both the Premium Sport package and the Advanced Technology package.

I do have the auto and only technology package. Not premium or advanced tech. I’m guessing you need the premium for remote start

Advanced Tech on the Sport contains the remote start from the key fob (3 presses of lock button, hold 3rd press) and the app. What they don't tell you is that the App expires after a year and is $9.99/month (CAD pricing) after that.

Pretty sure the remote start stuff is part of the "Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation" package/option. You can get that separately kind of in the Premium-lite package (upgraded audio and dual zone climate control) or it also comes with the full Premium package (same plus leather and moonroof).

In my experience that is pretty standard with Sirius XM, app-based vehicle management, etc. All the newer Jeeps I've owned also had a similar deal although even more expensive since their app-based remote start is part of a premium level Sirius XM package which is over $250 a year (after a 1 year trial, of course).

I think the key-fob remote start will be enough for me once the app subscription expires, but we'll see. Perhaps I'll end up using the app more than I realize now.
