I had coppers but sold them last year for golds........did you salvage yours or did they get messed up in the wreck?

From an economical standpoint, is it better to reuse TPMS from stock TRDOR wheels, or buy new sensors for new wheels and sell the stocks complete? I've never done a full swap before..

I can tell you this. I had my OEM Sport set dismantled, the tpms moved to my new setup (that I didn't buy at the shop) and they remounted my OEM set. All for less than $200. And threw in a gorilla lug nut wrench.

I sold my OEM setup for $600 I think with 2k miles on them. Wheels were mint.

I recently purchased steel wheel (they are at a different angle than alloys) tpms from a guy in Cali off Ebay, brand new, oem, for $140 shipped.

So, depending on what you can sell your OEM setup mounted, balanced, with tpms, and how much the shop charges, and how much new tpms cost, then yeah, most likely it would be better for you to go that route.

Keep in mind though, selling them with tpms limits you to only guys with that system onboard. Older Gens will not pay extra for a feature they can't use. I sold my set to a guy that threw them on his wife's 2nd gen SR5 and was happier than a pig in shit with the deal.

The tpms by themselves are worth nearly as much to some people than the setup. A lot of people though, don't care and use black tape to cover the light on the dash.

Now, here's something else to consider. If you buy an aftermarket set and they are especially nice, are you gonna want to screw them up off road or in the winter (think salt). So maybe keeping that OEM setup for winter, and then having a decent off road tire to replace the OEM's makes more sense financially.

That's my course of action with my new Tacoma.

Very thorough, thanks! I'll have to see what stock setups are going for. Mine have about 13k in perfect shape.

I went with the gunmetal Ray10, I think I'll probably run them year round. I don't do heavy off roading, and tend to wash my truck a lot in the winter.

Well, since you're going to run them year round then just get a quote from your shop doing it both ways. They should be able to provide tpms right there. If not, look online.

Did you buy them from SCS with the black fake beadlock bolts or change them yourself? Looks dope.

Nice. I pulled all mine and painted those sons of bitches. Should’ve gone your way, though.

Also, i love my dark bronze; but i should’ve gone copper or gold!!!

As recently posted, I just got my Ray 10s - 17x8.5 4.30" BS 6x139.7, wrapped in General Grabber 265/70R17 installed. But I think i've got some rubbing and could really use some help!

    1) is the a good way to test to see exactly where I'm rubbing?
    2) i thought it was just my mud guard, but the front looks just as bad/worse?

I can hear something that doesn't sound very good, when hitting a bump or dip with the tires turning...
