I went and got chick fil a today too, but I’ll wait to eat it with breakfast. A sandwich with no bun is an almost exact macro swap for my usual milk+whey shake that I chug down with my eggs. Grabbed a cookie too, which is about the same as my daily pop tart I eat post workout. Gotta switch things up occasionally so you don’t get burnt out

And really, chick fil a doesn’t count because it’s the lords calories

I am sticking with halfs for the foreseeable future. I have never been a runner (unless there was an objective involved: think basketball, softball, rugby). I think the old lady and I will do another half in February so we can't slack off over the holidays.

those devices are $$$ but if you put both in front of me I think I would take the coros vertix (after checking out the website for each). The two tone display on that garmin just feels dated and sad compared to its high pricetag. But they both look like pretty sweet pieces of gear.

DC Rainmaker is the big watch reviewer on youtube. He has yet to do the Vertix review which I’d like to see.

Coros is known for its battery life plus its an extreme watch so I could hunt and hike in the winter with it. Not that the Fenix may not hold up but the Vertix is designed for it.

They are expensive enough where I gotta take my time deciding lol.

I convinced my husband to run a half with me in May. I’m excited for that.
I’m planning on a trail marathon in late May and he’ll just be my wingman for that. I can’t convince him to be as crazy as me.

I love halfs because they can be done with minimal training and commitment. Fulls and beyond start sucking up a lot more of your focus which can be difficult to maintain year after year.

Chest/tricep day with shoulders mixed in. Watched a Eddie Hall video before leaving work today. Gonna leave the phone in the gym bag and just focus and absolutely kill it. High rep day. 225x8-10 on bench if I can.

crossfit? Everyone I know and that includes Pros bodybuilders refer to that as cross shit

But if your goal is to do weird sets for more socalled 'core' strength have at it and enjoy the injuries ...hardcore lmao

I'll take my time continue with proven old school techniques minus the ones that modern day we know cause injury such as upright rows and behind the neck presses

No CF hate here. There’s idiots in every crowd. The dudes on either side of me in the vid are both CFers. The one nearest camera squatted that 385 bar for five paused high-bar reps right before me. Also runs a six min mile. Can’t hate on that...

Big fan of both, but no way either is a dessert.

    Oh it is for me.

Its my typical last meal of the day.

The keto thing is getting rough tho. I walked by the fruit in the grocery store and was like

If you like sweet shit like desserts good luck finding keto replacements outside of dark unsweetened baking chocolate and pure whipping cream.
You could maybe do a greek yogurt if it was full fat and you watched your carbs for the day otherwise.

I prefer my version of dessert.

    That’s a big negative.
