Bald Mountain - October 25-27

I'm in Shaver Lake. I thought I recognized a few rigs when I passed by.

Edit: Figured out the problem. Looks like when I broke axel in Hollister couple of weeks ago that messed up the ABS sensor and wire. Called Autonation Toyota to see if they had sensor in stock and how much was it. They said they will have to do a special order and wouldn't be here till tomorrow afternoon and want $292.99 for it. FUCK THEM!

On the way from Walnut Creek, better late than never. Hope everyone’s down for a good time by the time we get there because it’ll be late.

 

If anyone is reading this. I’ll be in Shaver at the gas station around 1230. If not maybe I’ll see everyone while driving.

Huge thanks @2BeersPlease for setting this up! I really enjoyed getting out wheeling and meeting a group of like-minded truck enthusiasts. First night wheel for me too. Fun to see all the different approaches to builds, and also great to see the capability of pretty stock rigs too. Beautiful scenery in an area I've never been before -- I will be back. Looking forward to another wheeling adventure in the future.

Slept next to the generator all weekend... came home to no power and a generator running in the back yard

 

Strawberry Lake today. It was a clear day going up but started snowing when I got to the Lake. It was snowing almost to Red Mountain Rd trail head. Good thing I had a trail route on my GPS or I might of got lost, especially at the Sandy Flats area since it was all fresh powder.

Saw a lot of Jeeps up in the area today. Coming home on the 168 by Shaver I saw an accident, a couple Toyota rock crawlers, stopped to ask them if they needed help but they were good.

Either than that it was a good day. Got there and back safe, and nothing broke. November 1st is when they are closing down Red Mountain.
