    Almost every automatic I drive--including my Tacoma--makes bad decisions. I would have preferred a manual in my Taco. I have a pretty sweet 6 speed in my commuter car tho (Mazda 6).

    It's not about performance or mileage (autos typically better at both these days), but about fun and control.

    Fuck, I found these comments hilarious. That's me in a nut shell. I flew from Colorado to Maine to buy the only 4X4, access cab, MANUAL, with less than 100k on it for sale in the country last summer. And proceeded to drive it home over the next day and a half. I'm a crazy person, and I love shifting stick. I probably have penis envy or something. I tried being vegan a few years back for about six months, I did telemark ski for three years, and I have a fetish for old trucks and will be buying some old 1940s chevy that will not have power steering or power windows when I retire. I bought my taco because I love to wheel hard trails. I drive it maybe 5k a year, and usually only too and from wheeling. I pint stripped it down to the metal this year, which completely pissed off my wife. This is hilarious - add this one to your stereotypes - my daily driver is a bike. And I have a man bun, but I'm too manly to wear skinny jeans so I only wear carhartts. I also like dry bags for cycling, firearms, and retro looking coolers.
