They’re probably breaking even tbh. Cpoing a car only costs about $400. The finance office is where all the profit is made now a days or the vehicles people trade in for their Tacoma.

My bad, my brain took a second off. The harder part is 27k down 222 month for 75 months is like 43k for truck. Crazy!!

Yeah but not bad for paying off a truck when the sticker was $42k which is crazy in itself.
I didn't want a truck someone else had owned so I had to pay for that "option"

There are a lot of 2018 DCLB Tacos out there for what they’re giving you. I think you’re on the right track pushing the negotiation toward the direction of scarcity of your specific options. Just be a pain in their ass for a while. You already got an offer that isn’t terrible. Worst they can do is pay you that.

Oh, also, that was back in February of this year.

It’s a shame to see that happen to your truck. Glad you are ok and good luck with finding your new one. There are some great deals on 2019s currently if you can find what you want.

Refuse and negotiate. If they won't offer more based on your research and you really want more, maybe consult a lawyer. Not sure if this would work for a totaled out car, but you could try methods that are typically used for going after diminished value. Pay a 3rd party appraisal company to give you a value on your truck pre-crash. Then use that value to negotiate. If they refuse, threaten in writing to bring litigation against their insured (if you were not at fault). I did that and got double the original offer on a diminished value claim.
