You are missing my point........ do you want to keep the functionality of emissions delete for closed course competition use.... dont post about it in a public forum about using it on public streets.

Absolutely! I trailer it to the mud pits & the Everglades swamps. You DO make a valid point.

    I plead the FIF! 1, 2, 3, 4, FIF!

    Exactly. HAHAHA

No inspections here. And when there were inspections here they only looked to make sure your car had the cats installed & of course the sniffer test. I never saw any inspector open the hood.

You make a good point & I don't wanna be "that guy" that "F'd" it up for others. Post has been edited.

    WOW!

Back in the early '90s (when Florida did have emissions testing) I had an '81 Pontiac Grand Prix with a slightly modified/cammed 350 V8 out of a '69 Odsmobile Cutlass. I had 2 catalytic converters cut in half & welded over the existing pipes. Then I would turn down the screws on the Quadrajet carb & I would pass emissions with flying colors. Of course we're talking about 27 years ago. Damn, I'm getting old.

Alll of that stated, glad you are liking the v11 trans tune, currently working on a v12 trans tune with some small adjustments to first gear upshift and 3rd to 2nd downshift to make em behave how I want haha.

The EPA is targeting companies and individuals that directly provide the service. HPTuners is a tool and they provide no service of altering anything.

For example if anyone of you have seen there is a company out there that sells a SAI delete module box. That's the text book definition of what EPA wants to target.

Buying a HPTuner MPVI2 and modifying whatever on your own and seeing the EPA is about the same chance as winning the lottery.

EPAs rules for 2020 change and the for-off-road use may not be enough :(

*** that is how it was explained to me, I could be wrong ***

You can still do that now. Except turning down the screws requires changing out a few virtual values and you'd be good to go. ;)

Damn , you really are getting old. That's okay though because I'm getting old too.

How many times have we hashed this stuff out now?

Let’s be grown-ups, accept responsibility for our actions and let it be that.

I don’t see anyone discussing the legality or reminding folks of the legality of running aftermarket ECUs, fitting non-carb approved parts, or the like.

Too many to count at this juncture. Hahaha. It's about as old news as the Qwickchange pulley to the supercharger at this point.

Does your trans tune get rid of the annoying lurch (~200rpm idle bump at a stop light)? It’s from the trans finally going into 1st gear after being indeed stopped for a while. I used to think my trans was underfilled but that’s ruled out. It’s no big deal but annoying nevertheless. I’m sure you’ve noticed it.

HAHAHAHA! Yeah. 47 next April. I’m glad to have grown up in the 80s & early 90s. That era pioneered a lot of stuff.

I hear ya but I don’t wanna stir anything up. Anything is possible. I don’t want that on me.

    I’ve got 2 words for ya’ll..........

Wheel Spacers.......... (drops the mic and walks away)...

I can’t speak for the tune itself but what you are feeling is NOT the transmission shifting into 1st after being stopped for a while. If that were the case then you would need to get your transmission repaired. Nothing else would solve that. Next time you drive and come to a complete stop go ahead and quickly shift the gear selector into 1. You’ll see that nothing changes and that’s a good thing.

My truck does the same but it lessened when I added the Wheelers 3 Leaf AAL since it basically stiffens the whole leaf pack a bit so less binding/flexing of the leafs when coming to a stop. Some people have said it’s in the brakes as well. I can tell you it’s VERY TYPICAL of these trucks. My 1st Tacoma was an ‘08 Prerunner and I cannot tell you how many times I felt that and then looked in the rear view mirror to see if someone bumped my truck.

Slip yoke unbinding wouldn’t account for the slight bump in idle. And it’s not the AC or power steering either because it happens with wheels straight and AC/defrost off. Could it be the alternator then? Don’t think so, maybe the brake booster... interesting point, hadn’t thought of that

Interesting, I have never experienced what you are saying ever on my 2013.

Have you checked trans fluid level? (sloshing and slightly low fluid level when coming to a stop could account for this)

Are you sure it's not from your AC being on, or the axle unloading or some BS? My 2009 used to do that all the time, kinda feels like you got rear ended lightly. My 2014 just did it the other day for the first time since I have owned it.

Honestly Its a little bit of brake slippage and alotta bit of axle wrap. I used to have the exact same thing on my 2011 until I bumped up to upgraded leafs with that military wrap thing or w/e that helps prevent axle wrap....very very rarely felt that shift again.

As stated, not the fluid level. Seems to be a common occurrence here. But my tranny does have 190k
