    Following this has definitely brought back some great memories. In 2006 I did a very similar 6 week and 10,000 mile road trip that led to me moving from Sacramento, CA to near Charlotte, NC in 2007.

    I wouldn't say chicken, but then it could have been the way it was prepared. I thought it had the consistency and texture of lobster. I'd eat it again,t was damn good when I visited Texas.

    You have either had some really terribly cooked lobster or I've had some terribly cooked gator. The gator I've had was very tough and didn't have much of a flavor, that's why people say it tastes like chicken because it doesn't bring much to the table.
