Cleaned the throttle body and the MAF, replaced the spark plugs and the PCV, installed a catch can, calibrated the TPMS for the maestro, washed the windshield -it took all day but no check engine lights.

20191028_180544.jpg 20191028_180503.jpg Just got home Betsy back. Had the notorious paint issue on the hood and really bad oxidation in the roof. So decided to just do the whole truck instead. Tried to copy the 2018 trd pro color for fun. Original color was the magnetic grey.

Now I need the roof molding since those cracked and fizzled away during removal.

2009 TRD sport DCSB, just broke 209k, getting the interior detailed this weekend.

Just hoping I can find that molding for cheaper than $80 a side... ugh! 20191028_180544.jpg 20191028_180544.jpg

Haha aw man, IL is pretty far... it’s a white truck, silver shell.
Thanks! 265’s - got the black out kit on Etsy, there’s a thread on them somewhere around here....

EDIT: Here’s the thread (I got the glossy version) https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...cap-inlays-and-tacoma-decals-for-sale.537257/

There are a couple of threads here on TW. Mostly referred to Youtube videos. Took my time and double checked everything.

Forgot to post a little update on what I did to it on Saturday.
I had it on the lift at work to change the oil and decided to lube my drive shaft splines.
I have a regular cab so I have a one piece driveshaft.

    I used Motorcraft XG-8: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Ford-Fluid-XG-8-Lubricant/dp/B000NU77DA
Reused the clamps for the boot, would've liked to install new ones but didn't know what diameter they were.

No more thump when coming to a stop
I still have the 20 MPH vibration

I’ve done the same with battery swaps I could do myself, and I usually end up helping the tech since I have a few accessories powered from there.

Anyone know if you can remove the grid lines? Does any of the wires take those away if you cut it?
