    Absolutely. I've got a TOB fix set up for the next mod but that requires a trip to BPF to make it happen. :(
    Next on my list...
    He's a MD guy... Doubtful...
    Pacing myself... It's a huge project for a DIY - probably the largest next to an addition or the like... We've got a lot accomplished so far and have a really good game plan moving forward. :D
    My Father in law stopped by after work and we were discussing our next moves in detail. Level base cabinets are the next goal...

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Mines in that time frame as well. There is about a 4 inch drop from the far dining room wall to the exterior kitchen wall. There was no apparent attempt to even center the rough cut 2 x 3 or 3 x 4 or 4 x 4 studs. There are exterior boards that are 20 inches wide. A hand hewn beam runs down the middle of the house. It's a complete cluster fuck.

    Mine was built 16 years ago and nothing is square. Had a helluva time hanging crown moulding and trying to get good corners...thank god for filler:thumbsup:.

    The farm house where my parents lived temporarily had rough sawn oak studs, some of the original floor joists were logs that had been “plained” off top n bottom

    The last full kitchen I did when I worked construction was a 1890s built double stack brick house.

    There were two inches of drop in 10' on the ceiling. On the floor it was like 4" on one side toward the door and 2" on the other. We ended up completely redoing the floor joists, and sistered new 2x6 to the existing ceiling structure at level. Then we had to stud out the brick wall to give us a plumb wall to work on. This is after 3 days of removing horse hair plaster and knob and tube electrical.

    Needless to say it was a hell of a project.
