Just got off the phone with my local dealer in MA and he says an entirely new system is rolling out and they will begin doing applications in December after everyone is trained on application. Said it will be a corrosion inhibitor fluid, not a rubber or epoxy paint and they will clean and prep any surface rust before treating.
I was going to touch up all my surface rust with reformer then have the whole truck treated with NHOil but the Service dept said to save my money (was quoted $350 for initial treatment) and they will do it all for free and give me a rental because it will be there a "couple days".

Anyone else have any info or experience with a dealer doing this "new treatment" yet or know what it entails?

I got my 'Frame support program' letter a few months back for my 2012. It said there would be a 2nd letter that is sent out when everything is ready to go and dealerships are ready to start doing the work (essentially).

I haven't seen that 2nd letter yet. But I will be very curious to know how this all goes down. Ive been coating my truck in Fluid Film the past few years Ive owned it, so Im not sure if this stuff will work on top of Fluid Film. Will they want me to remove all that stuff? Can I go back to Fluid Film after this dealer treatment?

The other thing is this program really only gives me a few more years of coverage though 2022, so is it even worth the hassle.. Will be interesting to see what all the local N.E. guys say when they start doing this

If you don't let Toyota do the coating, they will NOT replace your frame if need be latter.

The letter states this and the Service Rep I spoke with re-iterated it. He sounded somewhat enthusiastic about this new treatment tho and I hope it is similar to the NhOil treatment. I am wondering if it is just the frame they are treating or if it will be a "full treatment" inside fenders, doors etc...

Yeah I know. Thats why Im a bit hesitant to see if they will turn me away until I get all the old fluid film off, or if this new stuff can go right over.

I didn't get the letter and I've been wondering why but I just realized I originally purchased the vehicle from FL. Do you think that's why I haven't gotten a letter? I'd be interested in this treatment just in case I need a frame replacement down the road and don't want to miss out on the next letter.

I got the letter literally the day when I got home from getting my truck treated with NHOU. Called Toyota customer experience center, they said to get the truck inspected by my local dealer. I did, my frame passed, "(no frame rail seal)" on the invoice. Spoke with dealership customer relations manager as to what that meant and how will this CRC work over the NHOU treatment and what exactly is this CRC, got no answers. Was told to wait till the spray booths are up and running, then maybe they will have some answers.

I’ve spent the last 12 years selling a variety of chemicals in the world of heavy construction. I can tell you 100% that the subject of surface prep is 100% the top subject of their training dealer techs and will 100% include getting the treated surface back to a clean, sound surface that the coating can bond to. The process probably includes covering the entire bottom with a degreaser and power washing.

As reading this thread, I just got my "letter" about the CRC and frame warranty extension. Called the dealer, and they said inspection is the first step and takes 1 - 1 1/2 hour and then they will determine what has to be done. Made appt for next week easy!

When did you guys receive a letter? I haven't received a letter for my 2015 yet. Wondering if I should call the dealer and inquire about it?

Bought mine from Toyota of Nashua, but I go to Lunenburg off rt 2 and see a nice new looking Toyota dealership at the exit, other than that I don't know anything about them.

I'm really kind of leery letting a $10 an hour lot jockey spray goop on my 2015 frame when I probably already did a better job then they ever will or even care about. Have to also wonder how much masking or covering they will do on the body itself to keep overspray and mist off the glass and paint, I'm sure it would be a nasty PITA to get completely off without a wipe down with thinner and then a complete waxing.

And I certainly don't want the garbage they have been using in the past, that makes Ziebart look like they are tier one.

The way I read the letter was that in order to enjoy the extended frame warranty you first need to let Toyota inspect your truck and make the decision on what to do. Soooooo, I have an appointment for the inspection which takes about an hour to hour and half next week. It was explained that they have 1 tech doing these frame inspections where they take pictures and do their thing. Small price to pay for extended warranty as I see it.

Update. Had my frame inspection, went quick, they said it looked good and will re check in 6 months (about time I get oil changed. By the time I got my free muffin and coffee, they were done!
