You're so right. Probably the rule on any forum for that matter.

Agreed - I have Progressive and they just gave me $17k for my ‘12 SR5 2WD Dbl Cab AT 158k miles- KBB says $12,500. No clue where they came up w that value but I grabbed a check within 20 minutes of them telling me that.

Couldn’t be happier w them on it.

I got a 2020 TRD Sport 2WD with Tech and Premium package with an MSRP of $40.5K for $34.6K + TTL, it took me a week of emails and phone calls to get that low. They had $1.8K in "Dealer accessories" that increased the MSRP to $42K, I negotiated that to be fully removed from the price as well.

That MSRP sounds high for a 2wd TRD Sport.

My 2016 TRD Sport was totalled after being rear ended with 12,000 miles on the odometer. The guy's insurance company American Family Insurance wrote me a check for about $2,000 above the sticker price new (I paid $500 over invoice). I didn't argue with them.

$2000 for 10 year Platinum Toyota brand Warranty, which is less than I paid for a 6 year on the FJ when I got it and this one includes Roadside and Loaner if needed.
    They wanted $2995 for it.

$200 per year up here for no worries over a decade I'm ok with.

I paid cash for the Pro, no finance, so it's not like I'll pay more with interest on the warranty.

I won't go into my exact trade in price so as to not mess up my friend who is the sales guy's future sale, but I can say I was surprised that KBB was way low on what they were willing to give on a trade in rate.

Here is the FJ for sale, so you can guess what they gave me. FJs kind of shot way up in resale value, and they held their value so well anyway.

I kept her expertly maintained, not a bit of rust (aside from frame), dents, scuff or scratch I didn't have removed right away, garage stored and it has very low miles, that all helped of course.

fuck man I like that deal. I ordered a pro but have seen found myself admiring that cement (pro in AG). That seems like a good deal if they did advanced tech.

But they HUGE advertising budgets. Those TV ads with the Emu is awful, the advertising agency should be fired.

    1. It is unfortunate that I will not be able to get a TDR Sport Silver with access cab. Will Toyota make a few? When to watch out for this?

    2. When is a good time to get a 2020 Tacoma? Jan or Feb?

I'm going to start shopping and sending out emails in early December. I did good in December of 2015 when I bought my 16 so I'm hoping for the same.

The best time to buy is always going to be when the next model year starts showing up on the lot. Especially when there’s a notable upgrade. Like right now people are scoring sweet deals on 19s.

In a year or so when the Tundra redesign comes out they’ll be doing everything in their power to dispose of the current dinosaur. Same goes for pretty much every model.

There is a notable upgrade in the 2020. Bigger LCD screen. New design front grill. I forgot what else. I want to get the TDR Sport 2020.

2020 TRD Pro with AT, ordered / allocated through dealership on 8/30, arrived at dealership on 10/30 and purchased the same day.

Add-ons included power tailgate lock, bed lights, bed mat and bed extender. Nothing else.

$46,900 before TTL. This is in Texas. Quite happy with the deal as there are virtually no Pros on lots anywhere near me - and it's so early in the model year. Dealer & salesman were both terrific to deal with. And they gave me $2k more for my trade (2010 Tundra Limited) than even KBB thought it was worth.
