Id like to go back to the Cedar Park area in Utah to see if it’s as I remember it. I really loved that part of the country.

I didn’t mind living in Nevada. Sometimes I miss it out there. Lived in Reno, Vegas and Elko. Would definitely choose Carson City or Reno again.

I say we just pack up this weekend and all convoy out to CO. I'm sure being homeless in CO is better than living in Illinois.

    Cool story and a question:

I found a guy selling an All Pro bed rack out of Indy. He recently got a 3rd gen and didn't want to make a bracket so it'd fit his rails. I couldn't work a time out on Friday so we settled on Saturday. Naturally it was rain and wind the whole trip. Get to the guy's house, he directs me to the garage and we start installing. Just as I'm tightening the last bolt this champion of a man says something like "Even though the drive must have sucked I'm about to make your day.... the rack is yours for free." All it cost me was the 2 tanks, lunch and the time. Pretty pumped!

The rack does need to be repainted. What paint/liner would last? Just going to be running a RTT on top come spring.

TLDR: Got a free bed rack, needs to be painted, what to use?

Well you lucky s.o.b. !

Any good powder coat shops around you ? Use the money that you didnt have to pay and do that ??

Or prep it good and just use a satin Krylon. Several coats. It will still chip from bugs and what not that route tho.

I was thinking of a spray on liner. Nothing over the top since it won't be subject to much abuse like a bed would be. Not sure if anyone has experience with any liners.

Scuff it good, self etch primer for two coats, follow with a semi gloss of your favorite color for three coats and Roberts your fathers brother.
