    We rip them out on sewer replacements
    Reason they had them originally was because of venting in old houses code was minimal

    We used to be ALL abs except Philly, witch is still cast iron per code. Then we switched to ALL pvc about 5 years ago. ABS was cheaper then and only 1 step glue.
