True. I'm not dragging it to FL and back typically. I usually run slightly high pressure than the door too. I would be more worried about my trailer than my truck.

That is an excellent idea. I'd rather not deal with snow.

That goes on in every state not just WVA. When I first joined the hunt club on the eastern shore, Kent co. At Still Pond, Old boy lived there was a trapper/Hunter/Waterman/Crab pot maker. Blew the most beautiful tunes on a goose call you’ve ever heard. Had a picturesque Texas style farmhouse that I would dream of renovating. Barn, windmill, milk house etc. Well he’s living in the barn. Has 2 of the biggest labradors you’ve ever seen chewing on a couple of skinned out beaver carcasses laying right in front of the door of the milk house that we converted into a kitchen. Goose carcasses everywhere, had to clean the stuff up every time we went just so we didn’t puke from the stench. Nice Massey Ferguson tractor with front end loader bucket dead because of a flat rear tire setting in the yard . Junk everywhere. Magical watching him skin a fox though, even got the nose skin off. Bar of soap or toothpaste, never heard of them!o_O:)

Don't beat me up too bad, I injured my shoulder in a ATV rollover yesterday.

Wouldn’t dream of it! Your too big and scary! Maybe if you were in a full body cast I might try. Hope you’re okay big buddy. Your probably more worried about your atv than yourself anyway. Hope your shoulder feels better!:)

Thanks. I have a appointment with a orthopedic surgeon this upcoming Tuesday. That lump is from a severely torn AC Joint. The honda rancher ATV rolled down a steep hill and rested up against a tree and didn't even stall out. I was able to ride it back to the cabin.

Cant do anymore fishing or any of my planned motorcycle rides, I can't use my right arm because my shoulder is separated from my collar bone. But I can still hang at the cabin with my dog & enjoy this beautiful Fall weather. I've gotta look at the bright side because it couldve been alot worse.

First, I have been told that a scrubby pad and multiple application of just plain water will remove the glue from tint. You will need to do that before going anywhere. Or they will do it and charge you. Follow it up with a razor blade and make sure you get below the door rubber seal so the new tint doesn't lift up over time.

Ok, to answer your question, this is my place of choice.

    https://aplusautostyling.com/

This is who I use for all my tinting needs. Last time was $120 not including the front windshield. That was another $20. It is Suntek and ceramic. The best they had at the time. That was two years ago.

Now though it seems they upgraded to a brand called XPEL. Never heard of it before but I just called and the guy told me $300 for the front two windows and $60 for the strip on the windshield. Of course that is the top of the line ceramic version.

Not sure if I want to pay that much for the top of the line, on a truck I will use off road. I can tell you this, I drove almost an hour and a half to have Llumar window tint put on my Lexus, including the front windshield (it's a bluish tinted clear Air 80) and it was not cheap at all. However, it blows anything else I have used in the past away.

Some people just go with 3M. I am not a fan. Suntech seemed to be a closer match to the tinted factory glass and was more matt finished from the inside. It was flawless. The Llumar is all that only better still.

Shop around and look at reviews. Ask if you can come see the operation. Check out some of the jobs they are doing or sitting there done and look close for air bubbles. No matter what, they do not always go away. Will they redo it if they don't?!

Edit - Ok, I looked more at my place online.......

I've never had the need for doing the back windows that some people do. Honestly, I would prefer to spend the extra money for factory tinted glass and never have to worry about any of the cons associated with tint. Like matching, bubbles, scratches etc. The real reason I don't do the backs or rear and then the fronts darker to match is because 1) it will be illegal in Maryland. 2) for me, in my opinion, that's too dark for off roading in the woods at night. I don't care how much light you have. I had a lot too. [some people may say, how the fuck does he know, he never went off roading in his Tacoma?! Well, long before many of the members on here were leftover stains in their Daddies shorts I was off roading. So yes, I may not have been out there recently with new tech but trust me, I have been off road]

But anyway, now that I looked closer at the films and pricing A Plus Tinting shows online I may actually look around. Yes, they do quality work and they take their time to work with you.I am just not sure that I want to spend all that money for the top of the line film. Just don't hold me to it though. I have been known to do dumber things.

Back to the EXPEL tint though........ I did a quick search online and the first hit was a Tesla site. Those guys are super nerds when it comes to this shit. I have a close friend with a Tesla and he is definitely a super nerd. He's just a very cool super nerd, that is also into Toyota's.

Anyway, those guys on the site were comparing this EXPEL to the Llumar Pinnacle F1 which is what I have in my Lexus. So no wonder the 2 front windows for a truck is $300 with the top of the line product. If this blocks the 98% they claim, and I trust the Tesla guys know it does, then it is going to reject 98% of that suns heat and it will still be legal and look phenomenal. But it better

Now, a little more on the subject of tint, from my past experiences. Long long time ago, I had a 93' Loyale. I won a tint job from the radio station 98 Rock and the place was down off of 301. This was so long ago they actually had to use heat lamps set up to bake the tint dry. They said if it turned purple to come back and for a small fee they would replace it.

Some people are ok with just the tinted "LOOK". But I would not waste a dime for looks alone. I tint my vehicles because I hate the heat from the sun. A lot of cheaper tints are very dark. A lot of people immediately assume they block the sun from entering the vehicle because they are so dark. Truth is, they do. Just like sunglasses do. What they don't do though is work to reject the sun so that the glass itself stays cooler. Good tint and proper sunglasses will do that. But I say who cares if you can't see in the windows themselves if they are acting like solar collectors. Of course, no tint is going to keep the windows so cool that you can say "I don't even have to run my A/C anymore". BS. If someone tells you it does, then they either have a medical condition or are lying. But there is a definite difference in the temperature of the glass between cheap tint and expensive tint. I'm willing to bet there's UV reflective properties increase as well. Not a big deal if your seats are cloth and all that ever sit in them are a Chick Fill Ah sandwich. But if you ride around with your wife, dogs, or small child up front there some protection from the suns damaging UV rays is a nice addition.

I am going to have to investigate this further because like you, I will need tint soon too.

If I had my way though.......... none of my windows would be tinted. I have seen Tacoma's like that and to tell you the truth, it is a really clean look. However, try to buy one without it today........

THIS PUBIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT IS IN PART FOR THE BENEFIT OF MY BUD BRETT @Ditch Digga BECAUSE HE JUST LOVES TO HEAR ME TALK :blahblah:
