    I have a HP Pavilion dv7

    intel core i7
nvivia geforce with cudo 1GB video card
    6 GB of RAM
2 X 320 GB hard drives spinning at 7200 rpm

I hate this laptop with a passion. I wish I would have gotten a Dell. This thing came chuck full of crapware from HP. It started falling apart within the first month. biggest POS ive owned. It is smoking fast but still junk. Because of this ive been using my old laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1721. It is my linux machine and is rock solid.

How long have you had yours...have you experienced any yellowing with your screen? I've been looking at these 27" iMacs for some time now, just never made the jump.

The entire set up is rock solid, It over clocks like a dream.

I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit with zero issues.

    I use Kaspersky Internet Security.

I have been building PC machines since 2001 and have a technical and schooled background in Microsoft, being MCSE, N+ and A+ certified.

I am now on my path to becoming Apple certified.

nice dude. im planning on running apple retail snow leopard with efi-x or some other kind of efi emulator. and dual booting windows 7 on a second hard drive. so basically a dual boot "hackintosh" because i love mac os but the hardware is overpriced and underpowered

Soon to be in a recycling bin:
Old HP laptop with a Celeron

    Main computer:
AMD Phenom II X3 720 home built
Rock solid! I'm hesitant to do anything to it. Maybe a new video card this winter.

    HTPC:
AMD Athlon X2 4850e home built

Spare to be parted out someday:
    Intel Core2Duo E8400 home built
    Marginal P35 motherboard, I think.

I've got lots of parts lying around and I've been getting rid of them lately. I have pile on my dining room table to go away soon.

I might attempt to build a NAS, but I can't imagine beating HP and others at the power consumption/performance game. An Intel Atom would probably still run 30+ Watts with the parts I have.

Typically I've always built my own desktop every couple years but I was too lazy this time around so I ended up with a Velocity Micro.

    Desktop:
    Intel E8500 OC'ed
    8G Corsair XMS
    GTX 260 OC'ed
    EVGA nForce 780i
    Win7 64

    Laptop:
    Lenovo Thinkpad x61s
    WinXP
Underpowered like hell but I love me some Thinkpads. They're damn near indestructible.

Custom box upgraded over time. I've got an i7 in there right now but the video card is a bit old, just an 8800 GTX. I'll probably go to an SSD boot before I upgrade the video though.

I have an older Acer netbook running linux I installed over the XP it came with. And plenty of older custom boxes the kids game and surf on though there is one Alienware in the mix.
