Thanks everyone. Yea it definitely sucks. I didn't hear from him in 3 weeks and that was the last time I saw him. Apparently he went in the hospital 2days after I seen him. Then got a call last night that they pulled the plug.

I'm back on the road. Half a day's projects left but still back on the road! (Bedliner the lower portion of the bed to match the cabin, modify slip in plastic bedliner [cut off front lip to allow cap to sit flush], new weather seal on the cap, place cap and wire it into the system, hang the mudflaps... done).

Don't have Turd stickers on my bed anymore! Should I bother to replace them?

I've followed from the beginning. I wish i had the knowledge to just jump into a project like that. Maybe buy the time this truck is ready I'll be there. But I kept my original bed. I plan to do a basic clean up of it to prevent anything from rusting while its sitting.

Unrelated, cut the shit out of my finger at work. Like fillet the side of it open. 3 days before my annual Archery camp with my Iraq buddies. I'm not even sure if I can shoot the bow, well more than once. The issue is I was waxing the string last night, and the sight was loose and slid. I have paint marks for alignment, so it should be close but I need to confirm they're on. Super Glue FTMFW. It isn't holding great, but at least it holds it together and it isn't bleeding anymore. I work a double, so figure tomorrow is the day. Shoot and hope they are on, and then hope I can at least make one more shot. Heading to the Allegheny National Forest until Sunday for some much needed R&R. The best part is extremely limited reception. Time to unplug for a few days. Take care all.

Jumping into projects only requires a few things in my mind... a downloaded copy of the factory service manual, YouTube, a garage to keep the project in when things don't go well, and a spare car for when things don't go well. The rest is just learned on the job. Buy whatever tools you need for each job, they pay themselves off. The next most important skill is how to deal with rusty fasteners that will or do break off. Can't say I've got any special knowledge otherwise. No schooling for mechanical trade. Just some good friends over the years giving pointers.

    Sorry about your finger.

Apparently our friendly neighborhood bear likes pizza, at least according to the pizza boxes he drug out of my trash can into the neighbor's yard.

    Hey Chip!
Check out @CBoy808 he does some great work.
    That’s horrible Rob! :(
My condolences, I can’t imagine how difficult that was for you and your family!
My mother battled breast cancer and won 5 years ago. I know how it feels to have a family member facing a cancer diagnosis. I don’t wish that upon anyone.
