Good pro shops can be hard to find. I've mentioned before that Lancaster Archery is only twenty minutes away. Most of the techs there are really really knowledgeable about setting up bows. My Hoyt HyperForce was a bit of a pain in the ass to tune. All told the one tech prolly spent three hours with me between two separate visits. He was extremely particular with setting up the rest, adding twists to sync the cams perfectly on the draw board. He wasn't happy until bare shaft and fletched shaft had the same POI. After all that I went home and walk-back tuned and made a couple of minor (very minor) adjustments to the rest. Put my Slick Trick Vipertricks on, POI with field points same out to forty yards.

I typically try to buy all my archery stuff thru there. Amazon, Bass-Pro, Academy, etc may be cheaper, but I like to support the local pro shops. Because when shit goes sideways, I know they can get my bow back in working order quickly.

Just got done speaking with them
And they said the paper tune was perfect. The only thing is my arrow isn’t centered on the bow if u look thru the riser. Guess I’ll figure is out with some walk back tuning in a few hours. The rest may need to come like 1\16 to the left. The speed was 297 so lost about 8 FPS with a .5 draw adjustment

    Stock as shit!
That's still very good speed. As long as a deer isn't on high alert when you shoot you have nothing to worry about. They duck before they jump anyway. I aim a hair low if I feel like they're gonna make a move when I release. If they don't move that's just a few inches closer to the heart, if they duck it's still lungs. That's my experience anyway.

Nothing wrong with that speed at all. A deer ain't gonna notice a 2.6% drop in FPS. I like a faster arrow, not so much for string jumpers (won't work anyhow) but for set up. I have two pins, a 25 yard and a 40 yard. My 25 yard covers everything out to 30-31-ish yards. For the vast majority of my shots, I can just place the pin 1/3 of the way up and either hit a little high or low, depending on the range. One less variable to worry about at go time.

Glad to see you're getting it figgered out.

most bows will chrono at lower speeds than the manufacturers state...they Ideally put the max poundage, 30" arrow..etc. but once you start putting on broadheads, different draw lengths, different pound draw and string suppressors etc...it brings down the FPS.

This calculator works very well. I used it to calculate the speed of my HyperForce. It was within 2-3 fps of the actual chrono.

Man, I wish rattling worked here. A bleat can and dab of code blue works best in Georgia. I've seen dominant bucks bolt after hearing ratting. It's the strangest thing I've ever seen.
