Yes, I'm only using it as a point of reference. That's November 2020. I believe I'm just past 106,500 as of this post.

    You don't get it?

It means that before TW was invented, Tacoma owners had hot girlfriends and were getting laid regularly. Nowadays, they spend most of their time on Tacoma World and only have their trucks!

Exactly. You've got plenty of time to find a girlfriend and get laid.

    2nd, a 2010. I’ve got nothing against the 3rd Gen, just being a dick. ;)

You have the same year as me! It does seem like a lot of shit goes down in the 3rd Gen section...

It’s the forum, not the Gen, that I dislike.

    Same here...

I've got my eye on a super low mileage 2017 TRD Sport 2WD, currently owned by my uncle!

Honestly, my biggest grievance about the 3rd Gen is the lack of a regular cab model. I see a decent amount of RC 5-lugs around here, in both slushbox and stick shift form, but the vast majority do not seem to be cared for like mine is. It was either Eric or James who referred to my truck as being "poverty spec"; They say that like it's a bad thing! Crank windows and almost no options?!?! I call that a real truck! All I need is A/C, heat, and a decent stereo system!

I will probably end up buying my uncle's '17 AC TRD Sport 2WD in a few years. I will probably pay cash, and I hope that I have enough money by then to buy my uncle's truck and keep my current truck. I'm thinking that I'll have the only 3rd Gen TRD Sport 2WD in Bucks County (I've never seen another one)!

How much does it cost to build the "Perfect 5-lug Regular Cab" anyway? Let's break it down...

Cost of truck new in 2009: Roughly $14,900-$15,000

Current stereo system (incl. backup camera): $600-$800 today would be my guess

Cooper Discoverer AT/3 tires: $400-$500 a set depending on where you buy them

    @HomerTaco Toywerx grille: $315

    Wet Okole seat cover: $300?

    Window tint: $160

WeatherTech rain guards and bug deflector: $120 ($60 each)

    Ellis Precision shifter knob: $80

My best estimate is $17,000-$18,000 including the truck; NOT BAD!!!

I dunno. I was young. Parents usually demanded a thorough candy inspection of our haul after we went to bed, for safety reasons. The bag was always a little bit lighter in the morning.

I figured that I lived in the meanest suburb on the planet since we must have had so many neighbors that passed out poison candy, the murderous fucks. :anonymous:
