I’m gonna do what John said. Also bringing some safety glasses on Thursday and going in to get some hands on with the methanol and AFR system. I need to know where and what and how.

I recommend reading the manual for the gauge. You’d learn about the recalibration and other things about it.

It’s just might be something up with the install like John said.

Which gauge did you get again @CHMM? Was it the AEM one at the bottom or the boost + AFR gauge that John has?

Reason I ask is because the AEM gauges come with Bosch branded sensors for the Wideband O2...and a lot of people don't like Bosch sensors saying they don't hold up that well. Mine has so far *knock on wood* but something to consider, might be a bad sensor that came with the gauge

I have the one John has. That’s a good point. Everything else is good. We have a winter weather alert and still managed to safely hit 7 PSI.

I'm not sure what brand O2 sensor those kits come with...I know a lot of guys with the AEM AFR gauge ditch the Bosch sensors for Denso ones instead. If/when mine goes kaput one day I'll end up doing the same

Is that sensor tapped in during install? Or is it from factory?

Its the sensor that comes with the kit, gets installed in front of the cat/after the headers. They drill a hole for it there, weld in a bung and then thread that sensor into it. If the sensor is bad you just have to take it out and put a new one in, and connect it to the wiring harness for the AFR sensor. Would be just like replacing one of your factory O2 sensors except easier since the wiring is more accessible

Either that sensor needs replacing or maybe the wiring for it got knocked loose/partially disconnected, I bet it's an easy solution to get the AFR gauge running right again.

Yeah. Thanks man. I just looked under there in the garage and got soaked from snow melt on the garage floor. I held it there looking till it got pretty cold. LOL.

Do you not have the closed loop enrichment built into your 7th injector controller? If so, You should be able to set at what psi of boost the enrichment begins. I have mine set to 1 psi. So anytime I hit boost the afr starts to slowly drop then if I remember correctly, at around 4 psi and 3k rpms is when the 7th is firing. The closed loop enrichment does not use the 7th for the extra fuel, instead I believe the controller intercepts the MAF signal and tricks the ecu to add more fuel while sending a false 14.7 afr to the ECU so it won’t fight it. Atleast that’s how it is for me.

I haven't messed with tuning it yet but I really need to. I just don't have the right kind of laptop for it...I think I have the software though that someone sent me awhile back. I'll have to reach out to you about this... I really need to do this. Having it spray at 1 psi would really help eliminate the pinging I still get under certain conditions
