Hard to make out if anything is loose or disconnected in the photo...might just be that it needs to be zip tied into place. I had to zip tie the wiring harness for mine in several places along the bottom of my truck through the engine bay before it went through the firewall into the cab.

 

you need part throttle enrichment and maybe to pull some timing.

mine did that until Added the 7th. Also, the Automatic trans does not work well with the supercharger, turn on ECT Power and get some tuning.

if I could do it again I’d go AEM. But the 7th is much simpler to install.

Hmm yeah the guys that installed it didn't do a very good job of keeping the wiring in place lol. If you take it back to them to check out the issue with the gauge, I'd have them clean that up

 

this is exactly what’s happening. You will not be able to make it go richer in closed loop without something to fool the AFR signal. If you have a OBD2 device you will see the short term fuel trims cutting back fuel while spraying in closed loop.

 

Will do. I just can’t trace it back all the way to the top.

 

Looking at this more closely, those guys did not run that wiring well when they installed your AFR gauge...looks like it's going underneath your sway bar?

 

If I remember to I'll grab some photos of my wiring tomorrow. Mines not perfect either but maybe it'll help give you an idea. I need to clean mine up a bit where it gets close to the exhaust.

 

with the AFR trucks you tap the AFR sensor wire To the ECU and it tries to change the signal. It’s not very consistent but it stays in the mid 13s most of the time.

 

I got like 3 feet of slack. Something is up. I just cant see too well right now. It’s dark and 2 degrees and the wife is asking what the hell im doing.

 

You need to tell Mike that the guy that did this work needs to clean up these wires and zip tie them and run them higher up, not below the roll bar.

When I go back, I’ll ask for a redo. I’m sure it will be cake for them with a lift and some heat and light.

 

There was a bit of slack in mine too, think they make the wiring harness long because it isn't designed to fit any one vehicle perfectly in particular. I had to wind mine up inside the engine bay and zip tie the slack against the firewall to keep it neat.

They will, all they need to do is run it a different direction and take out the slack, it won't be hard to do

 

you guys gotta drive in 10 degree weather. I floored it to 7 PSI like butter. It felt like a V8.

 

It’s a nice feature just wish it had more flexibility in tuning the closed loop enrichment. All you can do it tell it at what psi you want it to begin. It think it’s similar to the afr/o2 calibrators URD sells, just not as flexible and is built into the AIC/T controller so you don’t have two piggy backs.

I ended up going to a computer shop and buying a real cheap refurbished laptop that could run the R4 software.

Also did you buy the 7th used or from URD? I don’t believe all of the AIC/T kits have the closed loop enrichment feature built in. If I remember right, I didn’t even realize I had it until I was asking Gadget some tuning questions. I think he said if the controller part number ends in D then the feature is included. Not 100% sure though.
