Back in '00, not having kids so I guess that's it for me. It was really great back then, it seems so different these days.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Bad part: -probably 1961 or so.
Good part: we would come back home with (not lying here) pillow cases full of candy.

Surprisingly - I still have (most of ) my teeth

    Probably '00 or so?
Fellow pillowcase user here though. Used to come back with em filled up, dump em out on the living room floor and fight over who gets what. "That was in my pile, you moved it!" Usually ended in some sort of wrestling/fisticuffs with my brother.

Full size Snickers/Mars/Hershey bars were from the "lazy" houses (PC hadn't been invented yet or we were too young to care). Many homemade caramel apples/popcorn balls/Milk Dud balls. All decades before nut cases started putting razor blades in them.

Our costumes were pathetic by today's social media standards. But boy, did we have great (and corny) jokes. No joke, no candy was the standard back then. To this day, I remember David McIntire asking our Pastor "How do you tell a boy Hershey Bar from a girl Hershey Bar?".

    Yep on Political Correctness.

We were kids, growing up in a small town in the Midwest. Clueless in the extreme. Life was good.

I literally grew up on the same streets! I had two of these too! One at my house and one at my Grandma's house!

I remember seeing 8th graders when I Was in 7th grade at home handing out candy. Learned how girls and Halloween work together!

One time in like 2013 or 2014, I went to a Halloween party at the bar where I used to work. There was a busty blonde on the dance floor dressed as a dominatrix. I was the first person of the night to correctly guess her costume; I got a dance a kiss for my trouble! Hot blonde in a black leather dress and corset (and a carrying a whip) FTW!

Never saw anything like that in our neighborhood -- maybe that's a good thing. We did have a guy who was a local DJ that had nude picts of his wife all over his living room walls. All of the boys would try to hang around his door as long as possible to sneak a peak.

Another year at the same bar, my boss's friend showed up dressed as a Cruella De Vil, except unlike the original Disney character she was hot!
