Great thread BTW, I have done nothing but love my truck so far. I musta got lucky, but have yet to see one of the oft lamented issues.

 

I bought my truck before I ventured onto TW. I bought what I wanted. Manual, double cab, blue, 4x4. Exploring TW has not swayed my decision in the slightest. No vehicle is perfect. If you don't know anything about vehicles, TW is a minefield of useless, dangerous information dotted with some truly intelligent information and interesting people.

I proudly own a 3rd gen and get looks and look often at other people's trucks when I see them, all gens. I am glad this forum exists both for the information and for the fun.

I drove a 00 dodge ram for 11 years since I was in HS & had been wanting a tacoma for years. Finally bought one in February. I love the truck no problems so far. TW is awesome I've learned so much about the truck & all the mods you can do. The only down side on here is if someone has a problem with theirs I always think I'll have that same one sooner or later.

 

Nice truck! I love mine too - it’ll be 4 years old next week and I love it more than ever since I OV Tuned it. It’s a legitimate game changer for this truck.

 

LOL, I actually started a thread once titled “I think I got a Unicorn” or close enough to that anyway because I have no problems at all with mine. Thing runs like a top.

Second day at the range today and had practically everyone there come to the bench to chat me up about my truck and how I liked it. . .

I can't wait till my truck comes in. I'll grow a beard and buy some flannel, ford a stream, and take up camping.

 

I specifically bought my kb voodoo mounts/crossbars with the intention to put a rooftop tent and bro it all out....but decided to just mount my bike rack. Now I'm satisfied the way it is. Even bought some Icons and decided to back out last minute and just cancelled my order.

 

So far I really like my Tacoma it performs as it should in my opinion. It's a truck and there was a YouTube review that called it the "truckiest of mid sized trucks" which made me laugh but is pretty spot on. Active forum users are a really small percentage in comparison to total users of any product or interest (games, vehicles, homes, art, etc. etc.). This forum, like others, is a great place to get information or to see if the problems you are having are minor or span the entire group. Some people get lemons, others are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, some are OCD like when it comes to their vehicle, and others just like the truck and want to find others who like their trucks or get advice on modifications. It's all good in my opinion, there is rarely if ever any product or service that will please everyone across the board. Forums are a focal point, an information resource so to speak.

I know I've had a few concerns about modifications and this forum has helped put my mind at ease moving forward and it has made me aware of some things that are not normal with the truck and I should take notice if they start to creep up.

 

At 45,xxx I rerally like this truck! It fits my daily needs, fun to drive, fun and capable off road, and makes panties drop
