It is true, but yes surface seepage is a thing as well but it comes from localized fractures in the bedrock and moves upward via capillary pressure from the ground. In any case, that's not motor oil, its a crude petroleum hydrocarbon which is pretty much tar. It takes like some stupid amount of crude to produce any usable amount of "oil"

I live in southeastern Illinois and a guy I went to school with his dad bought a bunch of shallow oil wells before we were born. They are all 75 to 100 feet deep. Oil is pretty close to surface here. Wished I would of kept working in the oil fields as a young man.

And he used lead shot, thus killing all the California Condors with that one shot.

Think and say whatever you want. You want to be included, and it shows every time you post the same thing in these threads. Time to look inwards brother.

Indeed not. It was curiosity. Not coercion. Why do you ask?

Recycling is a big deal here. I just fill my empty jugs with used oil and bring them to the depot, they take it for free. Years ago we stored it in a drum, great until the bottom rotted out. Realized it's pretty stupid to keep that amount of dirty oil on the property.

I'm curious as to the average age of the users on this forum. It seems like every thread has (5) childish, useless, posts for every (1) useful post.

You seem pretty upset by it, almost like you're being forced to partake in the crayon eating.... And crayons are delicious so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I'm 57 but that don't matter. I come to this site to escape reality. Does seem to help with my schizophrenia.

Humour, sarcasm, wit, and an appreciation of the absurd are indicators of high intelligence. It might be just a bit above your grasp or something.

    I'm 34, my wife says I'm 8.

It amazes me how many people lack a sense of humor nowadays and can't laugh at themselves.
