You don't happen to know the model of that SUV? Highlander... RAV.. Sienna..4runner? I haven't seen a seat plug that matches Tacomas... air bag systems are different from Tacoma models...so it's surprising and hopefully good news if you can swap a seat from another model. If you don't know the model....can you please take a photo of your seats in your truck now? I read that your passenger sensor didn't work so you had to plug in the seat belt for it to work... I think the resistance value is different from your seat and the original tacoma seat...why it may not work correctly right now.

I will figure all that out and get back with you. I'm pretty sure the reason why the sensor in the passenger seat isn't working is because this seat has more pressure on it, so it thinks someone is sitting there. It requires seat belt to shut up the alarm, but the airbag stays off unless someone is actually sitting there.

Scion - FR-S, xA xB, xD, tC? You said the pressure sensor did not work...how do you know if the air bags work... it's hard to say, but interested to know if the air bag connector would mate together and same matching pair. I know the 4runners are not. So photo of the seat in your truck and mating connector would help. If your pressure sensor didn't work, would be easier to get the pressure sensor from your bench and swap them over to your scion seats. So please post a photo of your seat in your truck. Thanks.

Does the Scion seat even have the weight sensor for the airbag? I install aftermarket seats and moved the sensor to them and put a resistor in the plugs where the seat air bags were connected. No light or buzzers.

The scion seat did not have a weight sensor. I used the one from the bench. As soon as I can I will post pictures.

I just found some bucket seats in MI which are on their way to me in NH. I will report with details of my progress installing them in my 07 Regular Cab. The installation of the seat pad wiring and the seatbelt receptacles have me curious

Seats arrived at the scrap yard. Do they look like they will go in OK on my 07 regular cab? Gonna pick them up this afternoon if someone on here can confirm that they look OK

Got the seats home and they look good. I removed the wiring harness from the bench seat, but two sensors from the bench have me confused. UPDATE: I can see the same sensor on the drivers side mounted, with the same connector as is on the bench seat, so I’ll use that one. Where to mount the passenger seat position sensor is still unknown!

One sensor is mounted to the passenger seat slider and the other was underneath the driver side near the driver side slider. They are shown here.

The seats I am installing (from a 2014 with airbags) have no apparent mounting position for these sensors. What do I do with these sensors?

Could either of you snap a photo for us of how you fooled the seat position sensors to be in the “armed and prepared to deploy” setting?

I do not have any pictures at this time but can tell you that all I did was stick an old socket wrench to each one of them and wrapped them in electrical tape. They just lay on the floor under each seat now. If I Iget a chance tomorrow, I will snap some pics for you
