I definitely had some sticker shock when they were first announced. Especially before the output specs came out. I'd have been disappointed if they hadn't increased output with the price but i just keep telling myself 55% more light for 45% extra money... guess you get what you pay for.

I'm especially excited because these are just going to fit much better than a square pod in my bumper. In my case (plate bumper) they'll bolt right up with no mounting kit so that saves some moneys right there compared to the D2s which makes it alittle less of a price gap for me. Obviously not the case if you have a stock bumper but part of my personal justification to get what I want hahaha.

I still love the look of the BD fogs in my truck, just wish it had the cutoff and intensity of the RI. The amber/selective yellow ate a good color. They fill in where my Hids dont, and yes even shine above the Hids. Granted I've only driven a handful of times in rain/fog I'll switch off the fogs for a few seconds and it's a difference, even just swapping the covers in my RI a pillar lights make a difference on backroads when its fog/rain. I'd love to have a set up BD xl80 on my apillar some day, time to save again after a winch.

Although the lights are the same 4" size, the Wrangler fogs will not mount to the Tacoma with their provided mounts, so it really isn't an option without some custom work. JW Speaker is a highly respected brand in SAE lighting and I was working on a Wrangler project with a JW Speaker SAE fog swap so I just thought it would be interesting to share the results, even though it didn't pertain to the Tacoma.

That looks awesome, my D2 driving RI work for now but I'd love to have xl80s. Just debate of combo beam/ spot, white/amber..... to many choices. But that's a good thing.

It's 4 XL80s in Driving Combo, 2 XL Pro High Speed spots, 2 XL Lasers. The idea being that it'll cover all the lighting zones at once.

And drooling more lol. Killer set up. I'll just use mine for aux high beams, or anytime I need more light. Once I get a winch I'll start the light upgrade fund.

Pretty sure the rigid site said bare wires to install your own plugs of choice on.

According to Rigid, the light comes with "flying leads" to plug directly into the H11 plug connectors, which sound like female blade terminals. I will have them in hand tomorrow to see what that looks like, but if that is the case I will add proper connectors to mine.

Rigid doesn't want to publish a release date for the mounts yet, but it will be 'very soon', and it will be in November. They initially were not going to sell the mounts separately, only as a packaged kit with the 360 lights, but I pointed out that many Tacoma owners had already purchased the 360 lights based on the future availability of the mount and the Tacoma fog image they shared on Instagram. They changed course and will sell the mounts separately, but only for the Toyota platform.

Yeah, I bought them honestly expecting it to come with brackets being that they linked me from the tacoma Instagram post. Very glad they’ll sell the brackets separately otherwise I’d return them on principle.
