    That is correct Mark. Gear breakins suck. This is my second go around and hopefully last until i get a front diff lol.

    anyone interested that has a second gen without factory E locker im selling my old diff for $300 to anyone in here. Ring and pinon and bearings have less than 3k on them. Gears are 4.56. Will fit any 05-15 tacoma without factory E locker. Will be ready to go. All you need is gear oil.

    Just thought id give you guys the heads up. Selling for $400 otherwise

    Open diff with 4.56 gears that are brand new with brand new bearings. All you need to do is bolt up the diff. I paid $1200 to regear it like 4 months ago. It was done by 4wp.

    Honsletly waste of my money but will be a good pickup for someone else. And i make a 3rd of that money back\

    4.56 is good for the v6 models that have 33's 35's and maybe a little extra weight like bumpers.

    Yea its crossed my mind to regear just to get a little pep back in this truck, and had decided 4.56 was about where id wanna be if I did move up to 35's

    I think that would be a good gear ratio for v6 without bedrack tent etc. I went 5.29 cause i was recommeded it by Nitrogear since ive got a 4cyl.

    Yea ive got bumper and winch 285 but plan on more armor no tent though possibly shell if I find one. Definitely 5.29 with a 4banger loved um in my old single cab 22re on 35, felt like that truck had all the power i needed after that.
