What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Automatic, guy! After all, all us have been called doodoo boi all throughout our hanabata days ah? Lol!

 

Bought some new usb ports for the HU. They did not fit the empty slots next to the cigarette lighter/12 volt inputs. They were made for the slots left of the steering wheel. But on the positive side they do work really well. Might whip out the dremel and cut them to fit what I originally purchased them for.




On a side note, I wasn't aware that the rear (1)diff lock and (2)tow buttons came pre-wired even if you didn't have those options at purchase.

 

Matmo215....Thanks for the link on the struts install. Do you have those struts installed?

 

If you have a CAI you may have to trim it depending on which one it is. I had to trim my Volant.

 

Not yet, but I want some pretty soon.

Got my frame CRC letter in the mail today.

 

Been a while since I posted but got some wheels and tires recently.

 

Just pulled the trigger on some 5100s and icon 3 leaf aal. Found a set of 3rd gen trd sport coils cheap from another member.

I'm looking forward to this. The front coils have over 300k sitting in some kyb struts with over 150k. The rear leafs have about 80k with kyb shocks as well.

 

Installed my @victory4x4 bed and roof racks!

 

I am installing new speakers today. Should make a difference.

 

Blacked out the chrome Toyota emblems on the wheels. Still on the fence about how it looks.

 

I don't know if this has been posted yet but Bay Area Metal Fab is having a crazy deal on their 2nd gen steel plate bumpers that they posted on instagram a while back.

This past weekend the wife and I loaded up the camping gear and took it down to Brown County state park to get a few more nights of camping in before it gets too cold. Friday and Sunday were beautiful, Saturday it rained hard the entire day then we had 40-50mph wind gusts all night long. Needless to say neither of us got any sleep Saturday night. These RTT's are built really stout. All the ground tents around us were collapsed and the owners ditched in the night. The annex and tent held strong all night long. Few times I thought it was coming down but it held up. Definitely need to waterproof spray the thin annex and get some seam sealer on the seams of the tent.

Of course every GD bolt was seized and had to be ground off.

I love brown county!!!!! We take the kayaks and do a once a year guys trip to the other side of lake Monroe. The trails are pretty nice too for mountain biking.

 

Prepped and ready for fuel tank skid! I replaced my stock one this past summer with these off Amazon. $65 as opposed to others selling for $150.
