I have a superlative arms AGB and can confirm it clicks. Really like it and would not hesitate to recommend it to others or use it again on future builds myself.

They are heavy for sure. I have a REM700 .308 bull barrel that's heavy as shit. I rarely use it because all I really hunt are hogs and deer. The 6.8 is my go to. I'm in Georgia so there are not many places I need a gun that shoots over 200-300 yards. The 6.8 is flat as hell out to 200 so it takes a lot of guesswork out of longer shots.

everyone up here is getting into the 6.5creed craze...6.8 is basically same as 308 but less recoil?

I'm not trying to kill shit that weighs 1000 lbs at 1500 yards so I'll pass on the Creedmoor. Lol

Naw, it is on the 15 platform. It's a .270 bullet in a much smaller case. The military experimented with it for a while for CQB/Spec Ops and apparently determined that it was too expensive to continue from what I understand. They may still use it. There's a good Wiki read on it out there. Been a while since I've read up on it. I love the round because it's deadly for the game I hunt and shoots super flat. There's a fella out there named Harrison that owns AR15 Performance. He has perfected the barrel and other components for it. I use his bolt and barrel on mine. Jam up.

Yeah, .270 is a beast too. Big boom stick. Deer here are 150-175lbs tops and that's considered big. It doesn't take much.

we are getting more longer shots here, Logging etc. sometimes you get a close shot sometimes longer. We are going to work on getting out to 500-600yds effectively. So long as I can figure out the bullet drop and holdover I should be good;) Ive shot decent with my .270 out to 400yds.

The elk I shot was 200yds came running down the draw of an 4 or 5 yr old clear cut. That was with my 308.

The only AR I have now has a 9mm upper and is blowback pistol style. After carrying one for a living and cleaning those gas ports too many times... I like this one alot better :)

As stated it’s essentially a smaller, less powerful .270, hot hand loads with an ARP barrel I like to call .270 lite.

As far as advantage over 6.5 creed or grendel it handles short barrels better, a 12.5” 6.8 is within (I believe, not 100% positive of these numbers) ~600 FPS of a 16” 6.8.

As said, 6.8 is basically a necked up .223 to fit a .27 cal bullet. The “Basically” meaning the rim of a 6.8 spc is 0.044 inches larger than a .223 hence requires a larger bolt face then your regular ar.
A .300 aac is a literal neck up of a .223 w/ same bolt face.

I wouldn’t compare the 6.8 spc to the 6.5 creed since the creed is more in the class of the .308 and 7mm-08 and is a literal revamp of the 260 rem. Basically the creed is the .260 rem but with 30 degree angle on the shoulders. So the creedmoor crowd that are just now finding their favorite round have been missing out over the last 20 years.

Not really. A 6.8 SPC is nothing close to a necked up .223, it’s a completely different case with close to 30% more powder capacity.

You’re not right. I wasn’t being literal and for comparison purposes as I tried to emphasis the “basically” as well as the rim size for between the lines comparison since it falls into those mag length AR categories, I like to compare it to the .223 since comparing it to a .30 Remington seems silly.
I also mentioned for the .300 aac as a literal neck up since you CAN use .223 brass to make .300 aac to distinguish the difference in my point of “basically”

That Razor HD is ridiculous. I love it. I sometimes shoot 600/1000 yards with my rem700 and it is a must have. I was going to buy a Nightforce but picked this up for half the price.

I shoot Harrison's 16" ARP and love it. Muzzle velocity with 120gr pills is around 2400-2500. I've been wanting to buy a 6.8 SBR upper to slap on my .300blk lower but haven't gotten around to it.
