Anyone know of a good shop in/around the Norcal / Sacramento area that can do a good clean job of this?

i'd like to get a set of BAMF or mobtown skids not too long from now.

Thanks for sharing. This definitely looks less problematic performance wise vs squishing the pipe up closer. I'm gonna take this pic into shop when I get mine done. Hopefully soon.

NICE! I will show this pic to my exhaust guy & tell him "l want this!" HAHAHA.

I like that the bypass isn't too close to the u-joints or the plastic near the transfer case.

BTW, are the secondary cats removed? I can't tell from the pic

Yes I did, but I don’t recommend it because I find it drones like hell on long grades at highway speeds. I live in the mountains so I'm dealing with this daily. Every owner I’ve talked with complains about this as well, but the manufacturer (@Gadget@URD ) claims he’s never heard of any unsatisfied customers (several of us have emailed him separately). This guy appears to live in Maryland -- maybe they don’t have any hills there? o_O

Installing a resonator didn’t help much. Thinking about taking this exhaust off and admitting defeat, that I wasted $1200 bucks.

Anybody know of any shops in Oregon that has done this? Would like to get this done but don’t like the idea of having it done at a shop that has never done this mod before. Or at least know of any reputable places in or close to Bend?

Got the RCI skids ordered now just need to get the exhaust rerouted.

@K_Sandhu did you end up taking that wrap off? And what did you use for heat shield instead, if anything?

I did end up taking off the wrap. For heat shield, they put some sort of shielding tape. I really don't think you need any protection though, but that is just me.

$150, but had em cut the tailpipe at the downturn also. Plus you get the "near Seattle" tax..

Had this mod done today by CES Custom Exhaust Specialties in Bend Oregon. I think it turned out pretty good. Not sure why anyone would go behind the case instead of under it. After looking through this whole thread I knew this is how I wanted them to do it. They also just tied into the factory connections so it will be easy to remove or add an after market muffler. Now I can add my new RCI tranny and transfer skids.

On my previous Pro that I owned I didn't do this mod and the skids looked weird on how low they hanged. After I get done installing the skids tomorrow I will post pictures of the skids mounted on my Pro without the reroute done and with the skids mounted on this Tacoma with the reroute done so you can see the difference.

Looks good! I might try that route for the exhaust. Did the shop use stainless pipe for that? From the color, it doesn't look like aluminized pipe.
