3rd Gen Maxtrac Spindles

Here's my final setup. It look a bit of tweeking to get it exactly how I wanted it.

For anyone following, to level the rear to the front after the spindles, you need 2" rear lift. Any less squats and any more rakes. I originally had the rear at 2.5" and front spindles and it had a slight rake. I lifted the 5100s up to the 2nd slot (.65") and with the front at 4.5" and rear at 2.5", it's perfectly level.

 

I have a set of 17" 4Runner TRD Pro wheels that I want to use when I lift my 2WD... can I run them on a Maxtrac spindle without spacers?

Wheel Size: 17×7
Wheel Offset: +4 mm
Wheel Backspace: 4.5"

 

Those should fit. The backspacing requirements for Maxtrac is 4.5 - 4.75" backspacing for a 17" wheel and your wheel is within that threshold. You should be good.

That's exactly what I'm running, with the 6.5" spindle kit from Maxtrac. It's a great set up. You won't be disappointed!

 

just remember to remove the dust shield during assembly. If you leave them on your inner wheel will rub/scrape on the dust shield. Learn from me lol

 

Plan on getting a spindle lift for $745 with extended bilsteins and some SCS Ray10 on 285/70/17. Just want to know if there’s something the kit doesn’t come with that I should get and what you guys think about the price.

I modified my lift kit though which is why I paid so much.

List:

Maxtrac 4" lift spindles w/ front brake lines
OME Dakar full leaf pack replacement
Extended length u-bolts
Bushing/sleeves
RCD/Bilstein extended length rear shocks
CB drop bracket, brake line extension brackets
Bilstein 5100 struts
2.5" strut spacers
2" rear blocks ​

What’s the bushings and sleeves for? Also is the cb drop bracket necessary?

 

Those were for the leaf pack, they didn't come installed on them so they list it separately. Yes, otherwise you will have vibrations.
