It seems to be the controllers on their less expensive models. It really looks to happen when it goes out then restarts (either you restart or it restarts without cleaning out the pot), after @uhplifted had the issue I looked it up and it actually seems to happen with most brands.

I've been super happy with my Traeger, like I said 5 years with it and knock on wood it's never let me down when it wasn't my fault (I thought I had more pellets in it than I did and ran out).

When I replace it in the next couple of years I'm still not positive what I'll get or try to build.

I'd snag one for that price too! That's cheaper than the WiFi module for my pit... :bananadead::rofl:

That's a great deal... this time of year is the best for investing in new smokers and grills.. I scored an Austin XL last year for my neighbor for $250 I think.. and then later in the fall I scored a smaller Pit Boss for like $150.. that one is still in the box LOL

This one is sitting in my garage.. still in the box. Might be a little small compared to all the other toys you have though! And no WiFi to keep things consistent.

Does anyone know where to get replacement parts for a Louisiana grill from costco?
    its this one: https://www.vminnovations.com/Produ...MIruPGwI_H5QIV3v_jBx0eXwEjEAQYDiABEgLAo_D_BwE
The very top airflow dial fell off and the screw stripped the inside of it. I think I can try to find some high heat resistant glue to hold it in. Also, the ceramic portion on the inside broke into a few different large pieces. Could it be fixable with some sort of ceramic high heat resistant glue?

If not I guess Ill have to be buying a new one. Which would yall recommend? I would pretty much that same design, but I know theres a few different good ones out there.

    Results of the fatty.

It held out pretty well, actually! It didn't leak any cheese for the first two and a half hours, but the last thirty minutes, it started to leak a little bit. It lost a lot more cheese than I had hoped. I had stuffed it so full that even losing a lot, it was still plenty cheesy inside, but I was going for over-the-top cheesy. The bacon was wonderful when it was pulled from the smoker. Unfortunately, it didn't get consumed for about 3-4 hours, so the bacon darkened and the cheese wasn't oozing. Oh well.

The chipotle cheddar tasted really nice in a ground beef fatty and is something I'd do again.

One slice, even fairly thin, was a pretty sizable serving for a pot-luck style meal. I need to experiment with these big-ass fatties a little more. I see a 5-pounder in my future.
