    I don't do the rain. The wind doesn't bother me too much unless it's cutting through your clothes. Once you get that first shiver, the countdown starts.

    I bought some decent rain gear with Cabelas points about 15 years ago. Microfleece Dry-Plus series. Really, really like it. I'll stay out in a light rain, but that's it. Another benefit, it works as a great windbreak. But once it starts to hit 18-20mph, I'll take a break. Deer get real squirrelly in the wind....

    Im thinking ours is going to be soon, temps are far colder than the last 2 years, while we had rut they werent that great. This year its been below temps since middle OCT.

    I dont mind cold, or snow, but rainy gets me. It could be 40degrees out and it feels like -40 to me. Windy just never had much luck and its also most times cold. I did see some the other day that came out of the woods while it was windy, surprised me.

Seen 35-40 deer 11-12 different bucks including a big 10 pointer right at dark. Grunted at him and had him coming my way but he was more interested in a doe standing between us and started dogging her. Here’s a few pics of some of the deer I seen early on.

    man I hope so. im running low on deer and I've seen exactly 0 deer of the 30+ miles ive cover hunting public land in va. I also don't have any pic of buck on my camera in WV anymore witch is very weird
