The headlamps grounds are metri pack 280's and the rest are sumitomo 090/2.3II type. Will you cut them off also and merge them?

Without looking at it too much, I'm wondering why you wouldn't just cut the wires to the existing harness and rewire per the pin out? The different connector type seems irrelevant to what I was thinking. I actually have a broken stock headlight as is, so going back to stock isn't a real issue for me, but if I were to switch back, leaving the wires cut seems to be the way to go IMO.

20 minutes ago I was willing to wait for an adapter so if there is something wrong with my thought process please feel free to tell me.

Just asking, since there are 5 ground wires to merge...

No worries, I just started thinking about it. Once it comes time, I will spend some more time seeing what others have done and either copy or borrow the best idea IMO.

Like I said, I have had like 20 minutes of thinking about it so i'm just getting into it, I was more curious if there was an aspect to it I was over looking that you were inferring.

My molex plugs showed up today and I got most of the front end ripped off my truck, so hopefully I will get it done tomorrow.

Unfortunately about 6 mos ago I bonked a pole in a parking lot with my drivers side denting my fender and breaking my original headlight, so I got some other things to address while in there.

I'm interested in seeing the difference between my original stock lights, the Morimoto 35w I currently have, and the new LED's.

Very interested. Please post comparison pics when you get them installed.

Just got my car back after hitting an elk in the mountains. Better lights would have prevented it.

I don't have any pics of my stock or 35w set-up, sorry.

I'll be happy to provide my thoughts though. I will be honest and say I really liked my hds's and probably wouldn't have even considered this if I didn't need a headlight anyways.

It really only takes about 10 minutes to get to this stage. It's like 8 10mm screws, 8 plastic rivet push pins, and 4 tabs lol.

I know the Tacoma engineers goal was to save weight when designing the 3rd generation Tacoma. The front end of our trucks are nothing but injected molded plastic bits and a urethane bumper cover.

I just finished upgrading my ‘19 to the 2020 LED headlight assemblies over the weekend. it took me 2-hours from start to finish because I was not in a rush and being very careful (covered headlights with painters tape, always held headlight assembly with two hands, etc.). It paid off with zero broken tabs, clips, etc.

These trucks are designed with a pedestrian impact zone so that's why it's lightweight and there's plenty of crumple space.

Mine took about 4 or 5 hours, but I also had to diddle a dented fender so not too surprising.

I cut off the stock connectors and redid them all, fairly straightforward with the exception of 1 extra wire on each side from the old parking lights I believe. One of my Molex connectors was in the locked position as well which took some figuring out. All working in the end though.

I will take it for a spin once it gets dark and adjust them then.

The function and looks are great though.

Hmm.. Don't want it to say PRO in chrome, also don't want that chrome trim up top. They made it tricky.
