I contacted them and asked. They said “check back in mid to late November”. I tried prying and getting on a preorder, but they wouldn’t budge and told me to check in November. I would assume they are going to cost 3k-3.3k. They should be coming out with the xcover mini which would be a little cheaper.

LLOD makes mention of release dates in his recent comparison video. No clue on accuracy.

Mini looks awesome but the other one looks like a traditional RTT but with more steps...

Lol. I think you posted this when I was about 10 min into that video already.

I was really leaning towards a skycamp but now I'm very torn. The xcamp will be cheaper and has more room. Also it looks like you might be able to leave your bedding and pillows in it more easily.

But man that setup/teardown time on the skycamp...

I'm liking the mini also. However, the other one seems better than a lot of other RTTs I see since it doesn't have a separate cover to deal with.

Technically, both are 'Mini.' At least according to the video; Mini Skycamp vs Mini XCover

I have no dog in any fight. I'm just a peasant ground tenter.
Still can't bring myself to justify the $$$ to go RTT for my uses. I do really like the concept behind them though.

Agreed. If I win or am gifted one, game on. Otherwise a RTT is wwaaaayyy down on the list, if it ever makes the list for me.

I too really like the RTT's but could not get myself to deal with the cost and the space it takes up (and its permanence in the bed if I don't have an easy way to move it on and off)

On a whim (last Black Friday sale), I order a T3 tent from Gazelle. Sets up in 90 seconds and is very spacious.
    https://www.gazelletents.com/

That plus a megamat duo (REI garage sale) and I am just as cozy, same setup time, for cheaper.

Again, no attack at RTT's, I love them! Just can't afford one plus the rack plus a setup to raise and lower them off the the truck. So for those of you on a budget like me, check out Gazelle!

Just watched the video on how easy those set up. Sweet! If I still camped this is the tent I would have.

Haven't really been over 30ish mph winds but it has held up fine in everything I have been in so far and has not given me any concern. I wouldn't take it to a basecamp on K2  but for camping in normal US areas it has done awesome.

    Zero issues in heavy rains.

Only thing I would recommend is getting some heavier duty stakes but those can be found/added on the cheap.

Looks like they're doing 25% off for first time buyers (popped up when I went to the site). Not sure how this will compare, but I know they do a black Friday sale. Got my T3 for $170 shipped last black Friday.
