I was gonna say, wtf wouldn't they fit... Afaik 3rd gen frames are the same as 2nd gen, with minor/non significant changes.

 

Stage 9!??!? Wtf are there 9 stages of lift kits available from one company.....? What happened to just K.I.S.S.?

 

Because it’s cooler on the Gram to say stage 9 then it is to say with UCAs and full leafs.

 

So with mine being a second gen Tacoma and the 650lb springs, I’d want to be on the 5/4 clips?

 

I guess you could call it 9 stages of "shutup and take my money" or the 9 stages of "I have no idea what I'm doing or what any of this does but 100 people said this is what I want" lift kit.

So if anyone is interested, I have a tube bender and a welding machine and will be fabricating sliders as well as any other welding services in the pdx/Vancouver area.

I've been with the Thurston County Jeep Patrol, 4x4 SAR unit for almost 7 years now.

 

Are you also set up to run aluminum?

I would think so 4 or 5. With the 650 coils it’s kinda a crapshoot. C4 could be a little low and C5 could be a little high. I would just error in whatever direction you wouldn’t mind a little extra or not quite enough.

Also I would get an 1/8” or 1/4” spacer rather than offset clips. It’s easier just to take out or swap sizes if it turns out you don’t need it. I put mine on the same clip and used a 1/8” driver side spacer on top. I ended up 1/8” low on driver, so had I offset clips I would have been 1/4” high. Do you have a Taco lean currently?

No I don’t have any taco lean. But I also have the pro, so I don’t know if that accounted for the lean at all since it has a 3/4” “level” in the front.

 

Cool I may have to get with you about making a full hoop on my just center hoop front bumper.

Right on. Thanks for what you do. Sounds like it would be a neat opportunity to do a ride along with them.

 

It may be worth posting on the classifieds on TW to see if anyone wants to do a one for one swap. That’s how I went from a single hoop to full hoop a few months ago. Also, Pyrite is the sexiest color Toyota has ever produced. Don’t @ me.

I've been chatting with this dude for quite awhile now, and I think he's gonna do a damn fine job. It's nice to have someone in Portland doing basically the same thing I'm doing up in Tacoma/Seattle.
